I don't see AE including the wwhd tranny. Several people at AE indicated after the worlds that an AE designed laydown tranny was in the works. A b6 isn't coming the b5 series hasn't even got rtr options yet. A new kit will either be a high traction specific car(ie carpet, turf, indoor clay) or a full option Factory kit and one would have to assume an RTR option for all 3 platforms(truck,sc,buggy) has to be coming soon also

The last 3 pages are epic. I haven't laughed this hard in awhile.

I'll leave one more comment here:

the evolution of electronics and products means there always a new product coming. The question will always be the time when it does. Every year, there's a new iphone and andriod device...every year.

Just like after the B6...a B7 will follow. It's inevitable.

But nothing specifically stating that the wwhd trans was going into the B5m from the factory....It is speculated that it could be a conversion like the wwhd.

So when was the last time that THE actual B5M was discussed in this thread instead of all this asinine speculation and BS.

I am just as excited as everyone else for a new AE car. Although I would rather see a new wheeler over a new 2wd. Which I dont see a need for a new 2wd. TLR dropped the 3.0 because the MM conversion on the 2.0 was crap. The B5M still is a dominant chassis, the lite is by far the best 17.5 car you could buy. There is more than enough aftermarket support.

I may be putting my foot in my mouth but I dont see AE building a turf car. There is simply just not enough need for it. I would not buy a new car if it has a laydown trans, I dont think it would work in the conditions I race in.

There should be a new thread for all the speculation because this thread has gone to sh*t.

This always happens when there are grumblings about new products. Whether you see a need or not is your opinion. If there were people with questions about the b5m they would be addressed...but we are all having fun speculating. It also helps that AE is finally releasing pictures / details about the worlds car...possibly leading to something?

I don't think a RTR version is a priority to AE. They still make the B4.2 and T4.2 in a RTR kit. If I am not mistaken I believe AE said some time back they had no plans for a RTR B5.

You're right, it is my opinion whether or not the discussion. What is NOT my opinion and is clearly fact is that this thread is now shitted up with "grumblings" about a car that is not the B5M. People that are looking for B5M info now have to sort through the last 4 pages of yapping about a new car and hopefully find an answer to any questions they might have.

I am not the only one that is tired of coming into this thread to hopefully gain some good info cant find anything else except blabbing about a potential new car.

Just make a new thread about AE rumors or speculation and let it run amok. Leave this thread for technical info about the B5M.

But, with the new Reedy electronics and servos, wouldn't a RTR be pretty amazing? Yeah it would probably be expensive, but maybe not with the cheaper ESC now out.
