I second that. I originally came over from running the B44.2. Granted I wasn't running both at once, but I had all my saddles left over. I bought a shorty and immediately sold my saddles because it was that much better! I ran it on astro, carpet, clay, and lower grip dirt, and have preferred the shorty on all surfaces.

Are they a US based company? I see they have multiple currencies to set the pricing at.

First day with the 3 gear was also first day on the track in a few months. Car felt really good. A lot of power steering. Didn't get to do much testing since it was a race night but there is a lot of potential there. Managed to qualify 3rd in sportsman which would have been about 10th in expert at OCRC. Felt pretty good about that considering i have about packs under my belt in 17.5 in the last 4 months. Reedy layout is a lot of fun.

I pretty much only run stock. My home track is outdoors. In the winter when we run the track wet its near freezing on race nights. Traction is really low. Not only do I run the brass C & D blocks, I also run a square pack to add weight. We're back to dry blue groove and its been freakishly warm so its back to a light car.

Ran the 3 gear yesterday and was pretty impressed. Fresh layout and great grip. Didn't improve my crappy driving or the hackfest but felt good. Went with complete Avid bearings and ceramics I the tranny.

my only issue last the last 2 times out is pulling the shock rod end off a front shock... never had that happen before.

I'm going to re-wire my buggy now that I'm running the 3 gear tranny and the motor switched sides. I'm very seriously considering going with an inline config but I'm hoping you guys will kinda validate my thought process before I hack up my chassis braces.

I'm running on carpet and grip is really high.

I bought the 3 gear because of what it's supposed to do to counteract body roll plus the lighter top shaft and Exotek slotted motor plate remove weight up high on the car. I'm going to pick up one of the aftermarket clutches or a clutch eliminator to drop weight up there even more.

But it seems like running my shorty packs lengthwise might be the biggest bang I can get for my buck at this point. I think it should reduce my body roll even more and give me an overall increase in how hard I can turn without traction rolling.

This seems logical to me but I still want to run it by you all to see if there's some negative I'm not seeing.

Should I go for it?

I am running a fan on my B5M for the motor. I was using an esc fan from my orion, but it failed last night. The wires are too thin and just broke from vibration. Who makes a good 25mm fan with something like a 22-26 awg wire.

I was going to question the need for solder tabs but I had a Muchmore fan break a wire near the case once, making the fan junk. So I guess it's not a bad idea.

I usually get 10th scale fans from a local electronics store. The guy charges $4.50 per fan for a 25mm. One of three died after a full winter indoor season. The other two lasted the following season, but then I got new ESC's which came with fans.

Minor tip on fans and wires, glue the wires to the fan with ca so they don't break off the circuit board, then you have a bit you can usually chisel and attach a new wire too.
