Huh. So hypothetically, if you could run the rear arms of a mid motor car lets say 10mm forward, the car--while having a 10mm shorter wheelbase--would be easier to drive and not want to hook in turns?

I like the look of the wing mounts but after I bent a few on my b4.2, I was like eh, not a race thing but a cool bling thing.

I have been wanting to build a pimped out ride so when cool stuff comes out I could buy it and not think about the race effects. All that new JC stuff is cool.

My car squares up faster with rm arms but it's not as stable at higher speeds. That's just what I felt it could be different for others depending on total setup and track surface

I think the x rings should be standard equipment in the kit, pretty much a good thing 100% of the time.

10mm is a lot.

The main thing happening here is that more weight is being placed on the rear tires because of where the motor is. For an RM car when you do this, you are shifting weight off the rear tires.

It was definitely an exaggeration. It does add rear traction.

It didnt make it more twitchy. Made the rear more planted and made the car push more. Now, I always run the rm rear arms with the RM front arms. Which is what I assumed the OP is doing. And twitchy it never made the car. It made the car easier to drive and more forgiving. I will be doing some tuning the the gullwings again this weekend. I want to try a couple things with my shock package and the gullwings.

Anyone using 1.6 pistons with a car around 1540 grams on high bite? Just wanting to see what oil/springs you went with. I am at grey/grey and 32.5/30 oils.

Also, I have to give Kudos to AE for the B5M Lite car. Sure their QC leaves a lot of room for improvement, but they really deliver the product driver want as a full package. Kyosho and TLR both have light chassis. But neither seems interested in putting it into a kit. And only AE seems to release a car specifically configured for stock racing in MM. There are a few things I would have done differently with the B5M. But I have to say, AE is really ahead of the game in delivering kits the customers want/need. Sure everyone wants the FT right away and not wait a year, but still I think AE is ahead of the competition in a lot of ways. Now if the kits would just come with all the right parts and screws, lol.

Here is my "wish list from AE"
- screw down wing mounts
- Waterfall fan mount
- one piece front spindles in +2,3,4mm. The inserts get too much play in them, and I dont think a new design using inserts would be much better.
- A foamless battery mounting system.

Such a small list really. They already fixed the ball cups, gave us light weight chassis, a 3 gear MM tranny and many other goodies. I dont think my wish list will ever be made by AE. But Heck, I never thought they would release a light weight chassis.

MM tower and rm front arms. that explains the limiters. I brome my RM front tower last weekend and tried to see how the MM one would fit. it didnt look so hot, so I put the matching MM arms on. which hole did you use in the MM front tower?

Just switched from 17.5 To Mod (8.5) I love the speed of Mod, but at my local track its nowhere near as competitive as the stock class, so im hoping a few other guys switch over. Will lightening the car in Mod improve or hinder the performance on the track, the track is already slightly bumpy and medium traction. I have a feeling it will hinder the performance pulling a ton of weight out of it.. Was just curious your guys's opinion.

you can always add weight where you want it. Some guys drop the weight down, then use saddles/square. I think that once the light weight chassis drops, you will see more mod guys running it, and more team setups.

MM tower works great. It's 2mm lower, so you need to limit your shocks 2 extra mm to match. On the front, I run outer hole on the arm, and mid or inner hole on the tower. Rear, I run inner hole on the arm, middle hole on the tower.
