The B4 was relevant for almost 10 years. The B5 has been out for what, 2 years?

Make your own assumptions. (Tlr = no)

the main thing is people are selling old b5ms or lites to buy the championship edition to get a fresh kit for winter indoor season - and prolly even some for brand swaps.

B5M just won the ROAR and IFMAR championships. The B5M doesn't have out of date geometry and a whole new platform really doesn't seem to be in the works.

I would say that AEs next big release for the 2wd buggy class is going to be the worlds conversion or some type of laydown transmission.

Another point to be made is they need a 4wd platform more than anything. Associated hasn't dominated the 4wd drive class like they have 2wd and there have been rumors of a new 4wd.

My guess is everyone is jumping to the "newer better kits" that promise that millisecond faster lap. Losi, Yokomo, X-ray all have new buggies.

I don't know about a new kit coming out. I'd just rather get a new kit than freshen up an old one. They are so cheap compared to the Kyoshos that I use to run that I replace them every series whether we use them a lot or not. Anybody who has bought one of my kid's cars got new stuff. He hasn't raced in a few months.
