AE has never been overly interested in the Europe and Asia scene. The let CML and the locals make mods like the C4 and etc. Maybe that will change, but that has not been the history.

@RCBudda yup a low motor transmission is probably on the way, in the middle of development. Probably why the championship edition is limited and comes with a few extras not needed. Gets them off their shelves faster to make way for something coming.

Yeah they do use prototype cars especially at big races. Just wish they released them sooner. Reminds me of my first wheeler, b44. Tebo won 2007 worlds with it and like a month later it was available. At that time you could get a ft b4 for under $200. No thanks to companies shooting up prices and selling well. Since then others did the same, but not by much, at least not enough to be ripped off. No one complained, not when $30-40 increase is eclypsed by a $450 2wd buggy.

So on the LiveRC interview with Brent Thielke, he says:

===================

AW: Will the original Team Kit still be available once the Championship Edition hits the shelves?
BT: No, the Team Kit is being replaced by the Champions Edition. We will continue to offer the B5M Factory Lite, however, because it provides a great value - especially for the stock-class driver looking to get down to the 1500g weight limit for the class.

AW: Thank you so much for the interview! Is there anything else you’d like to add?
BT: Yeah, this is a limited production kit. When they’re gone, they’re gone. We timed this car to be released in advance of the holidays so the racers will have the perfect platform for their 2016 race season.

===================

So, the Team Kit is going away, and then the Champions Edition is going away, so then they'll be left with the FL and... something new???

Get rid of the blue dirt webs unless this is a hard packed outdoor track with very little dust. I would only run that compound on a sugar track with no dust or veryblittle dust.

After you have the right tire If still needing more rear grip add the brass c mount

With minimum wage shooting to 10 in Cali and everything going up with it and some areas 15 min wage, prices and inflation won't quit with companies having to cover costs.

Lay down would be cool to have. Don't see a downside? I think the 3D printing like said a few pages back is still not there compared to the factory plastics.

There was a discussion at our track last night, and it was figured that the championship edition was a way to repackage and get rid of the stock heavy chassis. While supplies last!!

Since all of the Factory guys run the heavy chassis that seems unlikely

Default futaba servo for b5m?

I bought a spektrum s6270 for my b5m and it will NOT fit. I liked the idea of the modular servo hook up but because of that I can't get it to fit with the stock b5m servo mounts. To make it work I went with the old b4.2 mounts and drilled the chassis (brand new btw)

I would much rather have a futaba servo any how but my LHS does not carry them. I think a S9551 will fit but I do not want to make the same 100$ mistake again.

Thanks.
Does the latest Thielke setup have less push than the stock box setup?
