*Tekno - Some rumors there, this one is most likely

*Xray - Haven't heard anything there

*Schumacher "I doubt it..." - I doubt it as well

*Hot Bodies - I could see it happening....about 2 years after SCT dies out.

*Serpent - I think they will be buggy focused for quite some time

Basically, don't hold your breath. I see the SCT market getting pretty stale. The SC10, TLR, and Durango will continue to be the go-to 2wd platform for some time.

+1 I saw a serious decline in the 2wd SCT class outdoors this past summer and I think it's down indoors too. Buggies seem to be on the rise with people moving out of SCT class into buggy classes.

Let me be clear and say that I'm not sure this is a good thing for the buggy classes.

Honestly, I think the decline in 2wd SCT might mean a decline in new blood to the sport. It has been a "gateway" platform for quite some time. If you see a decline there, you might see a decline in numbers overall. Which would be sad.

Not quite , the beginners have gain experience from the Sc and now are switching or moving up to buggy's ....

All normal ...

The manufactures will need a new bait class for beginner's to be attractive to try as the Sc class has begun to pan out ...

Rally ????

Right, the new guys from last year are moving up to buggy. My point is that in order for tracks to stay open, there needs to be fresh meat. 2WD SCT has been the fresh meat class for the last 4 years. If 2wd SCT is in decline, then it might indicate that new racers are on the decline. Without those new racers to fill in when older racers drop out, your entries on race day go down.

I am hoping that is not the case overall. Are people seeing new racers jumping right into buggy or stadium truck? I know in my area 2wd SCT is still the class most new racers are picking.

Historic order of how class's come & go ...

1/10 gas truck & electric ST
Revo or monster truck class
1/8th gas bug
1/8th E bug
Short Course

Next ?

Rally is my prediction for the latest beginner class ...

I agree with everything you've posted except for E-buggy it still continues to grow in the midwest and east coast.

Rally would be awesome, always wanted to convert a TC3 but it's impossible to find the old conversion kits.

+1 I think Wild Cherry is correct...

Pretty cool videos:

I think it could be a good class.
If everyone had to run spec rally tires it would be pretty crazy.

Power sliding
Jumping
Door rubbing

Do not forget body shredding, likely worse than SC because the bumpers are hidden under it all.
