Default Losi Scte 1.0 lowest price of the season

Good buy? Under 200 bucks now. Man.... what do you think? Or get a Tekno or something else.

Depends on what you want to do. Bashing it's a great deal. Racing is good too but needs upgrades. If you are serious about racing get the tekno or 2.0 scte. Another option is get the scte 1.0 and put an aftermarket chassis on it. BCE makes two different chassis. And I've read the losi tuned flex is discontinued and going for dirt cheap.

I just converted my 1.0 with the MIP pro8 kit. The 1.0 is still an awesome truck but yeah it does need some hop ups. At least the TLR tuning kit. I just picked up a TLR flex chassis also for $40.

For me it was better to keep my scte and upgrade it. I've been happy with it so no need to change.
Like others on here I got the Tlr chassis $40 shipped and the Tlr tuning kit for $50 shipped.
In my car audio days I flipped gear like crazy; with my RC hobby I'm going to enjoy what I have and learn to be a better driver.

It's a very good deal, but it does need upgrades if you really want to race. Fortunately, the upgrades themselves are also very cheap. The TLR tuning kit is half price now and chassis upgrades can be had for a song.

Thanks RCG... xxx123's post had me looking for forum rules and regulations to see if linking store websites was not allowed...

Was aware of the TLR tuning kit being reduced to 80... Not as cheap as the 50$ previosuly posted but still a great deal. Huge savings on the chassis I didn't know about though. Still, I don't like that the chassis still maintains the higher CG of the battery tray compared to the 2.0 or MIP kit...

Think of it this way. If you get the truck for $200, add the tuning kit and chassis for $120, you still need to buy sway bars and springs to make it work to full potential. Hard ano shock bodies are nice too. By the time you get done with a few hop ups you'll have as much into it as a 2.0 with 1/2 the resale value.

200 1.0 truck
120 BCE Hybrid chassis ( with necessary parts to run it, Battery Tray)
80 TLR kit
400 Total

2.0 performance for less then a 2.0 kit. I promise you want the revised layout, it moves all the heavy items rear ward.

You could even pick up the extra 2.0 braces and still be out less than a 2.0 kit.

Well you are pretty much going to need Carbon towers Front and Rear and HD cups all three of them and lighten outdrives F,C,R . Also a aftermarket chassis the TLR Flex chassis is dirt cheap now though.

So i think its better to just buy a used hoped up 1.0 or get a 2.0 . As for Tekno 4x4 SC im inpressed my them more than the SCTE . The quality is much better and beefyier not to mention drive good. Really good turn in lots of steering with the stock setup.
