Default What Tekin Motor for The Mugen MBX7 eco?

Hi All,

After much debating, I've decided to order a Mugen MBX7 Eco.

I need your advice on What Tekin Motor for The Mugen MBX7 eco? I will be bashing mostly and racing rarely but want to have that option on the table.

Will be running 4S only.

So should I get the 1900KV or the 2050KV Motor Combo? Please let me know why as well.

Thanks!

TAS

Bashing an mbx7 sounds fun. I would say the 2050 would be a good all around motor. What type of track and size will you race on when you go?

Not a huge difference between the 1900 and 2050, but when you do race the 1900 will be a little smoother and resale will be higher.

Red face Nice car

I almost went with the Eco, I have an old MBX5 I built back in 2005. Mugen makes really good cars. Even though I'm trying the MP9e this time I'm going 1900kv as this seems to be the dialed in setup if your gonna race the car. I noticed that the shops seem to sell out of the 1900 kv first for some reason?

I ran the 1900 with my MBX6 and it was great. I expect it to be the same result in the 7.

I run a 1900 Gen2 in my MBX7 eco with a VTX8 esc. It is so smooth it almost feels slow but I am clearing jumps that other buggies can't clear and my forward power is turned down to 80%

Sounds great Guys. 1900KV it is!

What Tooth Pinion do you suggest. I was thinking 16T Running 4S.

What do you think?
