Default Electric conversion kits for losi 8 2.0?

Hi all

I got a nitro losi 8 b 2.0 nitro local, but I need to convert to electric.
Having several cars, $$ is a factor (this is a back up car) and wanted to see if anyone can chime in to let me know their thoughts on these e kits?

E.g
(durable, good, bad, not durable, works, will work, not worth the $, worth every penny, works but...preferences, etc)

1. Losi's: (yes, I know, prolly best bet, but trying to save $$) *i currently have this kit in my losi 8e 2.0 truggy, and its perfect, but trying to save $$
80$
http://www.losi.com/products/feature...rodid=losa0912

2.integy e kit: I like the price, very inexpensive at 35.99$ ( yes I know it doesn't come with multiple spur or pinions..nor a radio tray box, but I can get those as needed, if I don't already have (thoughts??) worth it for the $$? Pass? Or?
http://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p...2#.T8DhfWt5mK0

3. Don't wanna use the tekno kit.. Don't really like the thick ass chasis.

4. Or could I buy the parts separate and would it be cheaper than buying #1?
(e.g. Motor mount and adjustable mount piece, servo/radio tray, and battery/esc tray...then buy pinion & spur gears as needed)

5. Other??

Thank u all in advance for ur expert opinions for this semi-newbie

The Tekno kit is actually a nice conversion, although the most expensive. I would just stick with the Losi conversion. It's proven, and you're familiar with it. It may be a little more expensive but in my opinion it's worth it.

Default losi

I have both ,

I had a race roller converted with the losi kit...my favorite car right now.

I had a nitri rtr with the basic blue chassis that was wore out so I went with the tekno kit as it was cheaper than buying a new losi tune flex chassis and conversion kit. I had heard alot of really good things about the tekno kit..

The losi converted kit in my opinion handles better and as stated is my #1 car. I have thrown a couple hundy$$ into the tekno trying to get it to handle and feel as good as my losi kit....

Needless to say I am now wanting a 2wd 1/10 bugy to work on my hack driving skills and am selling one of my eights .... guess which one

if you have a complete losi 2.0 already then just cut the radio tray the front section of the nitro radio tray is the same and the electric one. Then just buy the losi mount and battery tray. the mount is like 35-40 bucks and the tray is 10-15 bucks

The tekno conversion is the best, and it's not a thick chassis... it's lighter than a stock conversion, not to mention a lower COG. Anywho since that is out of your list of options go w/ the losi conversion

I don't know about the tekno conversion being the best. I have the losi conversion on a bce chassis on my 8ight 2.0 e it always podiums and the bce chassis is lighter then The stock losi tune flex chassis

I have an Eight 1.0 that I have been considering converting. Wasn't sure how good the Losi performs as an e-conversion, I absolutely love it in its Nitro form.

Was also considering just buying a Tekno EB48 or a AE 8.2e, but I would love to just be able to covert my buggy and save some cash and still have a competitive buggy.

For 30$ extra you can have the losi, Which IMO makes the Kershaw look like a Monday Ebay Special.

Having used the Losi, Tekno V3, Tekno V4, RC Monster and RC Product Designs conversions, I can absolutely say that Tekno V4 is the best of them. The Losi conversion is old technology. The battery tray is too long and sits too high. The Tekno V4 is the best quality, best motor mount, best weight distribution, best layout, low CG battery tray, and gave me the best handling of all. You can also change the layout to support mechanical brakes and/or the Tekno Electri-Clutch. Don't get me wrong though. The Losi conversion is still decent and more affordable to be sure. I've seen some good racers still using it and doing fine.

Where did you get the idea the Tekno chassis is too thick? They design their chassis to have just the right amount of flex, so who even cares?
