Default What does your Track charge

Just checking to see what your local track charges for pratice and race fees.

Our local track charges $5.00 for 1hr track time or $10.00 for anything over a hour.
Race fees are $10.00 per class and $5.00 for novice

But if you show up more than two hours befor the races start you have to pay to pratice and race. So if I get to the track at 11am and run for 6 hours before the race I have to pay $10.00 to pratice and $10.00 to race.

Is this the same as most tracks?

Our track was $15 to race and $10 for all other classes. Practice is $7 for the day.

Now it's $10 for each class and still $7 for practice.

Most tracks i been to charge about $20 for the first class and i think $10 for a second class but them prices are more than reasonable. Big races at them tracks go to about $25 to $30 which is not bad but if its just two heats and a main its not worth it two heats and double mains for electric is good.

Practice at them tracks i think most charge about $10 for all day at the outdoor tracks. I dont have a local outdoor tracks or indoor so i just come and practice/race .

All tracks around here charge $10/day practice, more than fair IMO

Locally,

It's:

$8.00 for practice on any non race day, Open to Close, unless you're just there for early practice and not racing. They also have a reduced practice fee if you can't be there all day. Not sure what that is, as I have never had to use that

Race day:
Free practice with entry fee for those that can show up early or want to show up early.
$16 for the first class
$8 for the second class
$5 for the third class
anything else is free I think

The single class fee of $16 isn't that bad, considering when I started racing over 20 years ago, the single fee then was 10-12 for the most part.

Or.....Just pay the monthly membership fee of $99 and get unlimited everything all month, with a reserved pit spot. Killer deal.

Yeah, the lease cost is pretty high compared to other parts of the country. I'm surprised they can do it with the modest $15 practice $20 race fees that is usual around here.
There's a track I recently went to in Santa Clarita that recently increased track size so I tried it out (don't like small tracks) and it had fantastic dirt, $10 practice (I think $15 race, haven't gone on a race day yet) and it was not crowded.

I will be frequenting that track more often but still like the size of OC/RC and the speed of the racers there.

Ha ha,

Yeah that too. But that doesn't really work out well if ya don't bother to show up for the races. LOL.

Seems like our track fee's are close to the same as they were 15 years ago. I am sure their operating costs are not the same as 15 years ago though. Not sure why they never increased the pricing, probably because they don't have a real idea their operating costs of they are too afraid they will lose racers if they raise the price.

Most tracks here are $10-12 for the first class, $5 for each additional. $10 for practice for the day or $5 for 2 hours.

Tracks around here charge around $12-$20 depending on where I go, with $15 being the norm for most. One track Charges $8 for a class for beginners.
