for me, I have never had a problem with S/P controllers and motors. They are among the smoothest controllers on the market.

Ive owned Tekin, Novak, LRP, and have driven pretty much all the latest and greatest out there and Speed Passion is right there with them. In fact, I have the Reventon Pro in my Kyosho RB6 and its super smooth. I have not tried the motors yet. My only gripes are that its a bit bulky and heavy and the on/off switch is on the esc body. I would say similar in size to the LRP Flow or Orion R10.

They are very good. Underrated if you ask me. I switched to the Silver Arrow 2.0 for my 8th scale cars and couldn't be happier.

I think the reventon pro is the best ESC for the price. Love mine.

Have been running the reventon software from an iPhone with no issue. Run a GT pro in my SCTx4 with the Viper 4pole. The only problem I've had, I created, don't hook the battery up backwards. Burnt it up!

I run the Rventon R on my T4.1 FT and it is flawless. I tun RS Pros on my 4.2 and DEX410 and they heat up whereas the Reventon R runs cool all day long and has plenty of punch and is really smooth on power and I like the braking too.

I run the V3 7.5 on my 4.2 with the RS Pro and is flat out smokes! Not int he bad way. LOL

I pride myself on my soldering skills as I do the cleanest jobs but the the bullet connectors on the end bell of SP Motors make for the cleanest install of any motor. The only thing I think would make it better is if they would relocate them so they all reside on the same edge. They also have 2 or 3 different timing sensor units for more power as needed. Should be a Green a Blue and a Yellow if I remember.

the SP Gt2.0 Pro's have been workhorses in a variety of vehicles I own, from light 1/12 pan car usage to 1/10 4x4 SCT (Tekno) usage with 550 4 pole motors.

As it sits now, I went VTX8 in my 1/8 and 1/10 4x4 stuff to get a bit more power, but, since it is a 1/8 esc, it should be lol. But, for a workhorse ESC that has a lot of great features, and a handheld programmer, excellent speedo.

I have a Dex210 with an 8.5 speedpassion and the R speedo. Neither have ever gotten about 120degrees

I have a DESC210 with a 7.5 speed passion with the Pro speedo I almost burnt it up by connecting the motor wires wrong but since then it runs very cold

The only thing I don't like is a lot of the software doesn't have reverse

Hideeho
When I wasn't running boost or can timing Mine ran exactly the same. I burned it up by adding about 20* on the can with 25*+/- in the ESC & running a full pack (25+ minutes) with out adjusting gearing. It was blindingly fast, right up till it thermaled & never came back on.

Other than me being stupid with them, I have nothing bad to say about SP ESC's.

speedpassion is all made by hobbywing, who also makes toro, orion etc, you can get the toro ts120 for $100, the computer link is $9, and the bluetooth link is under $25, and internally is the same as the orion/hacker, and almost identicle to the reventon pro...
