You need a glow igniter for any glow engine.

Put this on the glow plug, and pull the starter. If you don't see fuel running through the lines, take off the igniter, put your thumb over the muffler opening, and pull the cord a few time. Once the fuel reaches the carbuetor, put the igniter back on the glow plug, and remove your thumb from the muffler opening. Then after the first or second pull, the engine should start up. If not, check and make sure your engine is tuned properly and the compression is good. The flywheel should be difficult to turn by your finger.
