Their team has retracted to western europe and a few club racers here. Don't get me wrong, Tom Cockerill is fast on astro but looking at results on dirt, his speed..well it doesn't translate to dirt like some of the other pros. Maybe as they continue to prefect the RM buggies they will start making the mains.

Its as competitive as its driver

The days of the Tamiya Avante VS the Schumacher Cat VS the Yokomo are imprinted on my mind.. Im sure many RC enthusiasts share the same recollection but its great to see how far they have come.
One thing i have wanted to know is why you don't hear much from this team in the Worlds Scale?
Budget... Schumacher is a small (comparatively speaking) family owned company. They dont have the payroll to pay 10 top level drivers salaries to run their products. Its alot of money to send a driver across the country to a race, salary, hotel, airfare, transportation, etc. It can be several thousand dollars per driver per race. Over the course of a year and several drivers your looking at alot of money. They have been around since the inception of RC, but havent sold out to china literally or figuratively

Just waiting for Tony to put up some new Stage kits, sense some of the parts in the kits now for the SVR won't be needed on the KR

This may have already been brought up, but its interesting that the new 4wd comes out with "skinny bore" shocks, and the 2wd comes out with 13mm shocks. most 1/10 short course 4wd's use 13mm shocks. 13mm is a lot of shock for a 2wd buggy. found that odd.

Alok car is fine for 17.5, my current rear motor is super light with a shorty that I have to add weight. The carbon does change handling characteristics slightly and will notice it. the aluminum is fine. If you want you can check out my car.

And they are fantastic, the shocks are some of the best you'll lay hands on and they last forever between rebuild being they hold more oil at 13mm, they dont pick up air nearly as fast as the more common brands. The small bores are on the K1 to keep weight down and make the buggy more nimble

I wonder why they didn't use this idea for the 2wd, generally the 4wd's are running at least twice the power of the 2wd. I don't drive a Schumacher but they definitely look sweet.

In europe, alot of pros prefer BB on 2wd and smaller bore on 4wd for the reason stated above. Previous REEDY winner and Worlds podium finisher Jorn Nuemann (Durango) for example.

To update SVR to KR with all hex wheel hubs conversion, top chassis, skid plate, wing mounts is going to be around 1/3 of the new car price.(no bottom chassis)

I was considering updating my SVR to KR specs, but I think I might just go for the whole new car and keep the purple car for spare parts.

Cool did not know that! You get yours already? I am around 50 grams over with a rm and around 25 with a mid motor on my current ride.

Getting the car as light as possible will benefit handling greatly, especially jumping... my car is about 10g under without any weight added. The carbon chassis, titanium stuff and shorty battery will get it under-weight by quite a bit

Looking at the kit setups for dirt from the website.
The recommendation seem to be gear diff, for low traction and ball diff for otherwise. This seems abit strange.

Those are simply starting setups... I dont think we can sentence one or the other for a specific condition yet. Im going to be trying the gear diff and trying some stuff soon, Ive never tried one in 1/10 scale but Im willing to give it a whirl
