Default Tekno chassis servo help

Hey guys, got my brand new tekin 2000kv in today first off its awesome! Geared 18/45 should I change that .....

Now to the question I have I got a new hitec 7955tg I had the lil rubber boots on the servo but it squished the wire against the mount and when I turned I didn't like how much servo flexed.

Is it safe to run the servo without the lil boots? I took them off and servo is allot better, also it's not on the chassis as all stil has room under it. Thanks here is a pic now with em off.

You can, I never run the boots. If you are really gentle on the servo or don't want it damaged by shock and vibration then you might want them though. Not saying that's gonna happen though either.

The boots come with most aftermarket servos. I think it's fine to run without them. It wouldn't hurt anything to run with them either though.

^ what he said... the servo wouldn't or shouldn't be moving unless your steering is hitting max throw and your servo is still trying to push it... i always run the rubber boots... and once you stick the rubber boot in there you can slide the little brass colored spacer through the hole before the screw to keep from squishing the rubber boot when tightening the screw.

I allways run the blocks. You can use a washer on them to firm them up some more. Looks like you already have broad headed screws though.

The servo flex is fine. I also prefer the plastic Hitec arms to the metal ones. Unless the metal ones are the clamp down style.

My end points are set good, when I had the rubber boots on they had allot of flex because I could not fit the little brass collars in them because the screws where to thick that go down into the mount.

Okay guys well will I be okay how I have it set up now? No boots at all?

Also why do u perfer the plastic arm just wondering

I just really don't want to damage the servo so wanted to make sure it's fine to just let it sit like that.

I use them for extra insurance. Doesn't hurt. Chassis do flex so I like the piece of mind
