Disagree... I accidentally reversed the polarity with my tekin RS last week. Few sparks, a bit of an oh sh-t moment.. No actual damage. No smoke, no fire, no bad smells. Went on to win all 3 mains.

Yeah. Those make good fire starters to. Is Novak even still in biz?

I spy the same plastic case on the Rsx. Deos it still have the tiny prone to stripping silver screws in the bottom as well?

Randy Pike from Tekin has said lots of time on the forum that the andorid app is in beta testing now w team drivers and will be out soon. So that part is definitely true.

Android will just replace your notebook or laptop or whatever. The rest is the same, hotwire is still needed.
No iPhone, apple will not allow it.

Tekin does not want to deal with Apple's guidelines is the reason not that Apples won't allow it.

Randy made this point in a Gen II thread when i asked about it.

Not that apple called up Tekin and said no, I thinking was more of an OS thing where the iPhone could not be used to control anything. Tekin, your laptop... whatever.
I saw all of the back & forth in the Tekin thread but didn't really pay attention to why apple would not work... I have an android phone so I don't care

I can confirm a few things:

That's my B44 1.5 with Avid kit in the picture.

That's my Samsung Tablet running the App

That is an RSX esc

The team will be running production units at the worlds

I was at the track testing yesterday

Ty Tessmann killed 'em at the Worlds Warm up with a shock package just like mine

Last I checked the iPhone doesn't support USB host mode. Which if that is still true, then they are not likely working on an iPhone version as it wouldn't be feasible.

Randy cant even go to the bathroom without worrying about his car being molested, lol. And yeah, Ty did crush with the "skinny" bores. Always cracks me up because of the BB craze. The esc looks pretty good Randy. I assume the sensor wire connects under the posts.

My Work phone is a Android phone so noe worries for me but I would prefer to use my Iphone because its much more simple and easier to get what you want out of it. (yeah I hate android and its crappy software)

Very cool Randy. I just bought my first Tekin since about 1999. I could really use that android app.
