In my old scte 2.0 I didn't need timing or punch with that combo on 13/40, it was a beast and had plenty of top end for my track straight away

nm, you fixed it. no timing, lower punch and drop the teeth on the pinion. all good fixes. I would leave the lvc at 3.4/cell though. it helps to save your pack from death.

Update to my heating issues in my Losi SCTE with the Hobbywing Xerun SCT PRO ESC and Xerun 4700kv motor. I finished 1st in heat 1, 2nd in heat 2, and 2nd in heat. Wouldve finish 1st in the main but i decided to do a last min. program change and up the timing a little bit cuase i needed more in the straight, anyway i forgot t o plug my fan in and on the last lap i thermaled about 60ft from the line lol.

In my 1st heat i noticed what i think was a brown out. So before heat 2 i lowered the LVC to 3.0v and moved my steering end points another .50mm and had another brown out. In the main it didnt happen. Now im not sure if im experiencing actual brown outs or if im hitting LVC for a brief second cause its happening a spot on the track where my wheels are turned and im full pinned(coming out of the dog leg to the straight).

Is it known for the Xerun SCT PRO ESC to have BEC issues while running a Savox servo? Or is this just a issue of i need a bigger battery. I use a Nano-Tech 2s 5300mah 50c-100c lipo. I have a Castle 10amp BEC i could try, but a bigger battery will have to wait till i can sell a few things or save up some money. I was looking at the SMC Race Formula 7.4V 6500mAh 70C its about right for my price range or would a nano-tech 6000mah 65~130C work. I was also considering trying to find a gently used Xereun 4000kv motor.

Any input would be appreciated.

The cheapest thing to try right now would be a capacitor, most likely if your running spektrum, you can get the racers edge or novak cap for less than ten bucks, I think that will do it. Good luck!

It is most likely a brown out from your Savox servo. I am surprised that you have 2 caps and still have brown out issues. It is probably also your pack is not bit enough to keep all your electronics running. While 50c is ok, still not enough c rating for these trucks running a Savox servo. The Savox servos are great... but are notorious for being power hungry. I was running the 1256TG servo in my SCTE 1.0 running a tekin RX8 4600 system and had terrible brown out issues until I found out it was the servo and I installed a very large cap I had sitting around (about the size of my index finger) and it cured all my problems... until a wire broke off the cap and brown outs again. I finally got rid of my Savox servo and went with Hitec servo. I installed a Spektrum cap and I have not had one brown out since. Either one of the batteries you listed will be good. GO with the biggest capacity and largest c rating pack you can afford. You might try one of the cap banks they have out with like 3 caps in it.

lvc of 3.0 is too low. raise it to 3.4v per cell.

you were told before that 5300 was too low........ just get the 7200 70c smc and call it a day.

No its all about what the batteries have left after hitting Lvc the sct pro is notorious for false reading Lvc of you put it at 3.4 it will cut out at 3.9

While hobbywing speedo's are an amazing value. the LVC and overheat settings are way to temper mental. The first thing I do with any hobbywing is turn all the crap OFF. ]

Then again I'm not a MO and don't run cheap batteries till there dead either. Check your temps, gear and program accordingly and don't run your batteries till they are dead.

It's not rocket science

I have the same "Heavy truck" and run 5000mah 30c, 5200mah 40c and a few higher mah/c batteries and NEVER have the issue he is having. I do not think it is the battery personally but who am I to say?? Again same truck with a Castle 3800kv motor and mmp with low MAH and C Batteries, NO ISSUES. I can run 8 Minute Mains and have left overs...
