You should be changing the piston/oil combination to prevent chassis slap. In addition to ride height, the springs set the return rate for the shocks based on that piston/oil combination.

Here is the A1 race from Sunday; myself in the green D413 and Mondrell Brown in the white D413. This was his first time driving the car, which he borrowed from another very generous racer for the day.

Been there done that...just added the HB red springs front and back, so we'll see if that does the trick.

I find that impossible to believe. I run a 410 and it's the tightest of all wheelers and I ran an RS Pro which is the same foot print as the RS Gen2. This car has loads more real estate than the 410 and I can EASILY fit even larger ESC's on it without issue.

i also ran a 410 before this and i agree. LOADS more room for electronics in the 413. probably my biggest gripe with the 410 was lack of room for electronics.

Fjelltorsk, why don't you post more details or even better yet, a picture. That way we can see what is really going on. It might be that there is just an installation issue. I have used a gen2 motor in the past and it is just the same size as any other motor, even the motor tabs are pretty standard. So nothing out of the ordinary that would say that it won't fit.

not happy about this at all. How can they release a buggy almost 2 months ago and no spare parts? I am going to call Great Plains tomorrow and just complain about this. Not sure if it will mean anything, but it will make me feel better....I guess...LOL

I've only used a vst2 motor in this buggy. That is why I asked for more details or even pictures to understand the issue better.

But did you have a more specific question about that motor/battery combination as I used the tekin in my previous wheeler?

The Tekin Gen 2 Redline will not fit in saddle pack configuration..

The rear of the can hits the bell crank. Our motor is shorter then ROAR max specs so I would assume we aren't the only one that will not fit.

Some dremel work to the bell crank and a little on the top deck will get the motor to fit.

HB has been made aware of the situation and hopefully there is a change sooner then later in some of the parts so that all motors that are within ROAR specs fit the buggy.

Interesting. Glad I'm happy with the shorty configuration. I hope that my configuration needs don't change any time soon.

The lack of parts for hot new releases is a common trend unfortunately. Not defending HPI but they are not alone, they want to get it out asap (especially with all of the where is it in this and the other threads) so its out with the parts they have and catch up with the spares later.

You can wait a few months to buy for full support, but your buddies are running the newest and your not
