For those that did not want to call Tower directly, it seems like the D413 is now available online for preorder on Tower's site. You can search for d413 or go to the link that was posted before and it will now allow you to add it to your cart and check out.

Overpriced in my opinion. I guess I will get the xray for the same price! I know tower will discount about $40 but it's still not worth that kind of money. I would even go with the sworkz too. Pricing will make a difference for alot of buyers. Look at he new TLR. Alot of folks I know won't touch it because of the price tag. It's a 1/10 scale not an 1/8 scale.

Subbed.

I'm debating between the D413 or the XB4 until Serpent releases their wheeler.
I keep hearing about HB's serious lack of parts support which is surprising since it's got HPI's distribution channels. But XRay is also lacking in support too. Decisions,decisions.......I like the outside the box engineering and design of the D413, huge plus for me. In terms of durability, that remains to be seen until it gets into the hands of real durability testers, your average Joe consumer. We seem to find weaknesses and flaws that team members miss and next thing you know, running changes are made.

Since Tower Hobbies is now the sole US distributor, I would say the parts support will be decent. The HB R10 Nitro sedan that came out had a lot of parts available prior to release and I would say that it shouldn't be too bad.. I mean any new car will have initial heart burn in flooding the market. Look at the 22-4

Great Plains is the US distributor. Any shop that does business with Great Plains will be able to stock everything Hot Bodies and HPI related.

My pre-order is in! Got a Reventon Pro 1.1 EX with a 9.5t motor and a RadioPost 5005S servo for the car to fill it out.

Every time I hit HB d413 that darn VE8 keeps popping, real disappointing! LOL I'm a big time fan of amain, my wife thinks I have been keeping them in business for years, I should have bought stock a long ago.

That's funny. So Ty is sponsored by Amain and they won't even carry the car? Can that be correct?

9.5 motor, isn't that a little weak for a mod wheeler? Tessmans pro and he runs 5.5 if my memory serves correctly, I'm going with a 5.5t motor in mine. What's your reason for going with a 9.5t motor, just curious?
