They did not make mention of shims. I used some 1/2mm shims and they are working just fine.

Looking forward to getting it and taking it to a track! Did I get a decent deal? I live in an area full of TA cars so glad to have something different!

Cheers
its a great vehicle. with a few aftermarket parts mainly to get better access to things (the exotek center diff mount I really like) its really something. For what they are going for right now, its a steal in my opinion.

Picked up a new D413 kit for 169$ shipped.

Planning on doing a Rally Build with it. Always been a huge rally fan, but the cars available on the market always leave a lot to be desired in terms of off road performance.

Figured why not start with a 4wd 1/10th buggy and go from there!!

so with the d413 basically being sold at really really cheap prices, has anyone heard of a new vehicle on the way sooner than later?

heck if I had seen that yesterday, ebay had an 8% additional boost to ebay bucks too. Its tempting for sure. you get a great platform for a cheap price.

I agree. Let me know if you find a rally body to fit.

A couple of years ago we had some guys who ran the 1/10 Traxxas Rallies in a parking lot series and that was a lot of fun. You could drift some corners. I always thought it would be fun to run a rally cross class. I haven't been able to find a body that would fit a 4wd 1/10 buggy such as the D413, 22-4, etc.. The width is the problem. I guess you could find some shorter arms and shorter cvds, but I am too lazy to do that. Many, many, many, many years ago there was an article in RC Car Action where the took some 2wd buggies and put Parma rally bodies on them, but I don't think those bodies are in production any more.

HB should come up with a conversion to make the d413 into a 4w Stadium truck. 1/10 truggy of sorts. It has the drivetrain that can handle the big tires already.

Since the car has no resale value what so ever.......I'll ship this car and all my spares for $159 anywhere in the lower 48 states. I just want it gone!!! Pm me if anyone needs one.

Any upgrades you guys recommend I do to the Car ? I was thinking change tires for my track Ofc but anything else that drastically changes the cars performance ? Also which chassis protector is an easy fit with the least amount of cutting ?

Thanks

I would say the exotek center diff mount would be one I would get for sure as personally it makes changing the center diff oil and spur much easier. Also, you then don't need to access the lower screws to get the diff out, so your chassis protector gets messed with less.
