Looks like towerhobbies has the buggy marked as discontinued, maybe something new on the way?

ah okay.
Question for you guys, I noticed when going to print out setup sheets that the one on hot bodies website has different values for the same settings as the editable sheet on Petitrc.
anyone notice this and know which one is the right one? Things like Rear Toe and antisquat are different?

[QUOTE=tc5 man;14983407]Well its for sure the D413 toughest 4wd buggy the B6D its not bad but fragile to a point. Out of box it is aggressive so you may want to tune it to calm it down and limit the droop on the shock ends. And if you want to tune the diffs i recommend a drill driver to take it apart its not the easyiest to work on exactly if you are in a hurry at the track.
I appreciate the input.
I race outside on pretty high bite. Most are running X-ray and associated.
Just curious about parts availability as well.
Thanks

I would recommend finding ones for sale that are a package. Can get some really good deals that way.
Thanks for the input guys.
cain: you're right, i got mine with an avid aluminum chassis, servo, boat loads of exotek parts, stock chassis (except the center diff and motor mount), a few sets of tires and spoilers for under 200.

For parts there is ebay, Amain, Absolute Hobbyz . But it will be a while before you need to use that extra part expect rebuilding it.

I found mine on eBay brand new in the box for $200. Amain as well as absolute hobbyz has all that parts you will ever need.
In my opinion the only thing the car needs is the exotek steering rack. That's it. By far the absolute toughest car I've ever had, in any class. Which is unheard of for a 4wd buggy. I too was reluctant to buy given it's not the newest car out but I'm very glad I did.

Anybody with the exotec chassis how did you lay out the electronics?

I run shorty configuration to passenger side rear of vehicle. Servo front of that. I also run my receiver on top of the servo as it was easier for me to run cables that way instead of extensions if it was behind the motor.
I then run the ESC on the front driver side and the motor on the driver side rear.
I do run a fan now behind the motor.
As for anything people recommend to get, personally the exotek split diff mount would be on my list. really cuts down on the hassle of changing it out.

Cool. That's pretty much what I was thinking although receiver I'm going to tape to the back of the servo so it's a little lower. How did you route the speed control wire to the receiver? Low under the center diff or up and over? I'm also thinking with the receiver that close to the servo I'm going to have to shorten the servo lead.
If there is one thing that should of been added to this buggy is wire route clips or something .

I ended up routing the wire under the front driveshaft and then up over the servo. On my daughters car is between the servo and the center diff mount. This is one area that I could see using a low profile servo could benefit for a bit more space between the mounts and the servo.
wire guides would be a plus too.
If I have time I'll grab some pics, just need to figure out a new way to post them with photobucket's money grab.
