Default Chassis

Anyone running the carbon +2 chassis? I'm back in wheeler and have the Schelle chassis on the buggy currently but was thinking of trying the +2 and see how much weight It saves.

Are you talking about going from alum to carbon fiber? CF to a -2mm CF chassis would be next to nothing.

Back when I ran the car the first time around I only ran the stock chassis and then went straight to the Aluminum Schelleracing chassis. The longer chassis did take away the tipping in the corners but it pushed a little bit on the looser tracks. Wasn't sure if it was the aluminum or the length. Also concerned about weight because 13.5 is a popular class now and I really would like to shed some weight.

I'll toss mine on the scale tonight. I run the +4 CF chassis.

Got the exotek NIB right now and the schelle +4mm graphite one here too. I get a change I could compare weight weight between the two and a nib stock chassis setup.

Since I am standardizing, may sell the schelle.

For the baby screws that go through the stock rear hubs, is there a good place to source a bunch of them? Want to have spares and its not a size I really stock in my pit box. I think its the first time I have seen that size on a hub.

So I have the stock chassis, the Schelle +4 carbon and the +4 aluminum. To my surprise the Schelle carbon +4 is lighter than the shorter stock HB chassis. Both save some weight compared to the aluminum chassis. My home track is low to medium bite so the carbon chassis should be fine. The outdoor track is the same. Will be playing with 13.5 and mod.

I've ran 3 hole pistons indoor at times. Depending on the layout the car was more stable and forgiving than the 2 hole setups most run. Definitely worth the try if you have the blanks to drill out

Cool. do you have any tips on the sizes you ran front and rear as well as starting oils, etc? Or, if there is a setup you recommend to look at that would be great too!

Default Shock tower brace

I was told there is a brace for the front shock tower. I am at the track and can't seem to search just this thread on my phone. If anyone has a link or knows where to get them please let me know. Thanks!

I have had this buggy since its release and have run through my supply of diff gaskets. Can't remember if they were HBd413 gaskets (can't find a stock number at amain or tower for a pack of 3, etc.) or if I used something from another manufacturer? Does anyone have a stock number for diff gaskets or using gaskets from another manufacturer?

Yeah I started with looking up that number from what is shown in the owner's manual....looks like 112778 is for the gear differential which includes a gasket....I can't seem to find a separate number for just the D413 diff gasket? And I did not see where the d216 gasket is or is not compatible?

Not sure where I got my gaskets for when I bought 10+ of them a few years ago....frustrating..

Perhaps this is a solution...so I will get some of these gaskets...

Ok, I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I have some big races coming up in a few weeks and wanted to go through and rebuild my D413 to make sure it's in good shape, but it looks like none of the diff seals are available seperately. The O-ring part number doesn't seem to really exist and the paper gaskets look like they're only available with gears. Is there any way to get these seperately? I really don't want to have to track down 3 spur gears, break them open and take out the gaskets every time I want to rebuild the car. What have you guys been doing?
There was a screw up when the manual was written it doesn't list all parts numbers (hopefully they will get it fixed asap). The diffs share wear parts with the HPI WR8 rally car.

You'll need part numbers HPIA020 and HPI101221
