just thought I share pics. I run a 6.5 in one and 5.5 in other. One has +4 carbon chassis and other is Avid aluminum.

Looks awesome! Must have been lots of work painting those bodies.

What gearing are you using for the 6.5 and the 5.5?

I have on order the Exotek +4 chassis and it's otw, does the longer wheelbase actually significantly change handling characteristics?

I run 20t on 5.5 and 21t on 6.5. . I did not paint the bodies I purchased painted ones on here. I wouldn't say significant change in extended chassis. From week to week I can't decide which car I like better. Lol .

Any good starting setups for a high grip CRC carpet ? I was going to sell my D413 but the money I have invested its probably not worth trying to sell so going to set it up for carpet off-road and give it a shot there and see how it is.

I do see a few on petit but I also have a schelle aluminum extended chassis on my car.

WHOA!. I just looked at the exotek chassis for the 1st time and WOW. I just might have to whip out the credit card. Thanks exotek, not what I was planning for this weeks purchase.

When I had my 6.5 I was running a 24T pinion with 15* timing and no heat or thermal issues.

Here's the suggested pinion chart on the first page.
Motor 5.5 Pinion 21.7 (21-22T)
Motor 6.5 Pinion 23.8 (23-24T)

I race on high grip carpet, the absolute best setup sheet i have tried was david ronnefalks yatabe setup. On a larger and fast track (like yatabe) it would be absolutely sweet, but a bit too muted for small tracks ( like 15 sec laps etc )

Exotek chassis or not, change to an aluminum servo arm. You don't need a servo saver, and car will be more responsive.

Does anyone know if they plan to sell the Avid chassis anymore?
I was considering the exotek one but it seems to pricey. Is anyone running the exotek? Is it worth it?
I would be changing from the schelle extended chassis.

There are new parts in the works, but I doubt you will see a complete new kit in 2017.

Quick question. Getting a new to me 413 in the next week or so. Want to stock up on wheels and tires. It has the 12mm hexs front and rear. What wheels do I need? Standard B5/6 type rears? And what front wheels?
