In the mean time you can buy and use the AE Composite Shock Caps and Standoffs.

This doesn't have much to do with the current topic but it's very useful information for what we're all trying to accomplish, which is make our cars perform better in any condition. This website has a ton of awesome information!!! It has pretty much all the info you would ever want to learn about the dynamics of r/c car handling: Tires, Suspension, Alignment, Camber, Gearing, Aerodynamics, Weight Distribution, etc etc etc.... Check it out!!!!! You'll be an expert by the time you're done reading it all. Everything about R/C Vehicle Dynamics!

I just checked and it is back to June 30th.

I have at least one pair of good plastic caps with the mounting studs of anyone needs some to be able to get on the track between now and the end of June.

Anyone running the carbon inserts in the rear only for large outdoor tracks with good traction. Pros vs Cons

Hello everyone. After being away from off road racing for 9 years my son and I have decided to start racing at Leisure Hours indoor this coming fall. I do rc drag racing during the summer otherwise we would go back sooner. Back when we raced off road we ran BJ4's so we wanted to get back into the 4 wheel buggy class. After a few weeks of investigation we decided on the D413. I just bought a couple of cars from a member here on RC Tech.
I have been out of touch with the electric side of rc because I've been racing nitro dragsters and quarter scale drag gas cars. I need some advice on what speed control, motor, servo you guys recommend to outfit our buggies. We plan on racing in the 13.5 class.
I use a 4PKR and my son plans on getting a similar radio so those are good to go. We will of course get some hinge pins, shock caps, arms etc. before we start racing. Also is anyone running the Schelle carbon chassis……what do you think? Thank you all for all the information on this thread.

I run the Schelle chassis. Great upgrade. Still have a bunch of NIP parts. Get extra screws for the suspension mounts. May want some front shock shafts. I've not broken a single part.

I'm also running the schelle upgrade, bought to get the ALUM Schelle version for Carpet. Schelle stretch carbon made the car uber stable and easier to control in the air.

shock shafts are the only thing i've broken. It was my fault tho. I wasn't paying attention and took a car full speed head on. the other car was a D413 and Not a single thing broke.

Newbie type question. Built a few kits including the D413. Anyway, picked up the Avid aluminum chassis (the basic stock replacement). Any build type tips when I break this bad boy down? Basically I'm taking it all a part and putting back together right? Just curious if you guys have a method. Thanks.

I like good servos. My son ran a Savox 1258 in his and it worked fine. I would say that would be about the type of specs you would be looking for at a minimum.
