SMC Shorty packs, great 2s Lipo and awesome pricing on them.
I just ordered a couple last week, and fast shipping. I ordered Friday afternoon and had them Monday afternoon. Now depending on your location could a couple days longer

I just bought some of the new 100c shorties and an ESC and I'm impressed. Danny is a good dude, replied to my emails in under 10mins. Can't wait until they have the 17.5s on the website

How did you guys order those 100C SMCs and get them already? I just checked and it says "pre-order" on all short packs except the 60C packs. Or did I misread that from snwchris? Did you get other 2S packs from SMC (not the shorty)?

Danny at SMC is awesome. Always good support and very fast response time. I'll probably try another pack just because his support is awesome, good prices, fast shipping etc.

I want to be clear that I am VERY hard on my packs. I understand I'm using them outside the specs and DON"T expect a warranty. I'm only sharing for reference and comparison. I charge at 30A, and I go to 4.22V so they rest at 4.2V once they are done charging. I've also started using a discharge bank to I discharge on my iCharger at 30amps down to 3.2V then back up to storage voltage of 3.8V. That's my basic cycle these days. I've just retired two SMC packs aprox 2 years old, and my third pack seems to be on the downward slope, it's unfortunately only about a year I think. Again I abuse the packs so this probably makes sense. I run mod, usually 6.5 to 8.5 depending on which car. 2WD and 4WD.

I've also owned several of the Hobby King Turnigy Nanotechs, in several different sizes including their new shorty packs. My new shorty packs have very low IR (as advertised). I'm seeing less than 2.0(Ohms) on both the ultra 4600 and my 4200 from Turnigy. The IR results are also very balanced, on both charge and discharge the values stay close together between the cells and also IR on charge and IR on discharge. My SMC packs typically have had a large delta between the cells for IR.

Just some notes for comparison. I've only had a few packs so don't expect my results to be the norm by any means.

If had to choose one upgrade, Would you guys recommend titanium turnbuckles or aluminum hex clamps front and rear? Bout same price. Had no issues with pins falling out (little blue loctite is your friend).

If turnbuckles is it ok to just swap out the existing used ball cups/ends or get new cups?

What upgrades do you have so far ? There might be better ones to get before you do those.

Exotek stearing rack is on. I did the aluminum shock caps as well. I run indoor/clay/high bite medium to larger track only.

Titanium turnbuckles are the only aftermarket part I have on my D413.

You could use the same ballc cups, but you would have to be careful to make sure to keep the oreintation of the titanium turnbuckles the same as the stock turnbuckles. You don't want to thread a ball cup with left hand threads onto the right handed threads of the titanium turnbuckle. The smart way to set up turnbuckles is so that they all shorten when you turn them the same direction. It makes adjusting the car easier.

Where did you get the aluminum shock caps? I've been searching everywhere.
