I also wanted to ask about a couple cosmetic things. Does anyone know if the shock spring adjuster collar and the lower cap and maybe even the spring perch from the tcxx touring car will work on the d413? Also the clamping wheel hexes. If you search hot bodies purple on Amain all those parts come up. I want to make all the orange pieces purple and I've seen cars wth that but wasn't sure if they had them re anodized or if they bought purple parts. Any help with that?

I am going to try the 100k just cause it's already in there and take the 50k and 60k with me to the track. Just so I can try them all to feel the difference. I figured 100k was a little heavy tho.
I know in the back of my head this is just way too high but for my X-ray xb4 a team driver swears I need to be running 500k in the cd. I put it in just to try. He says they run 1,000,000 cst normally and 500k for blown out tracks. Has anyone ever run anything that thick before? I've never seen it done but it seemed like quite a few ppl on the xb4 thread run real thick fluids.
I started running 200K in mine when traction was up last year; then at the track layout change I left it at 200K with low traction and the buggy was still great. Only changed ackerman and springs. At 60K and 100K the buggy was controllable but sluggish and slow. Potentially, the 60K and O degree anti-squat may leave you pushing into turns with little chance of the buggy responding until you have blown through the turn....guess you'll have a chance to try it out and see how it goes...

Hmm, ok so I'l am for sure going to try the 100k I have in it now but what about the 0 anti squat? I am not real clear on what anti squat effects. What is it exactly?

Anti squat effects the rear of car as its titled, prevent rear from squatting to much under acceleration so your not dragging chassis. 1 to 2 degree typical. More anti squat will make car spring and jump easier, and less will improve traction as long as your not dragging chassis . I've never seen a set up sheet with 0 anti squat before. Hope that helps little.

If it's a different color, someone might have had them Anodized to strip the orange and change to what ever color you want. I think the most popular is place that does it is Carolina Custom Anodizing.

As for the Center diff fluid, I run on med-high bite and really like 7-100-5.
I've tried lower center diff fluid like 75 and 60 but didn't like how it felt and actually my lap times dropped down some.

Now when I ran outdoors I switched to 7-80-5 and felt pretty good

Also IMO, I think tires play a BIG part of the setup, so if your not on the right tires as well
it can feel different and sometimes if new tires it takes a few battery packs ran thru with the new tires
for them to feel like there broke in.

Thanks! This might be asking a lot but does anyone happen to have a list of all fastener sizes and lengths for the D413? I am not home so I don't know if the manual has all the sizes listed or not but I would prefer to not have to remove every screw and measure.

The manual has all the sizes and shows based on parts bag and area being built.

Download the Manual from hpi website on your work computer like most of us.

Has anyone tried AE shocks on this platform?

I must be doing something wrong building the HB shocks. I've put the bladder top on and bled the shocks...do they ever stop leaking out of the little hole? I'm sure it's operator error somewhere. Please guide me in the correct direction.
