Any off brand bodies available for this car? I've seen PL and JC make one, but not loving either, love the sweep of the factory but it's a pita to paint!!
Pl is definitely smoother and currently winning.

Default New orange aluminum

Hey guys does anyone know where I can just get the aluminum parts for the buggy? I'd like a new set of orange. I'd prefer to not have to buy each seperate pack that includes seperate pieces.

Thanks

I'm assuming you're talking about the stock parts? Not that I'm aware of, pretty sure you'd have to purchase them all separately. Haven't done the math but it would be pretty spendy, might even be cheaper to buy a cheap roller off fleabay and strip'er down.

I've had the B44.3, 22-4 and the Xray 2015. Currently running the D413. Cant speak for the 2016. But the D413 is the BEST in my opinion.

Dirt digger I don't have any experience with the xray but have had a 44.3, 22-4 and as of yesterday purchased a D413. I haven't had a chance to run it yet but I will tell you this. The build is the best I've done yet, so easy and the fit and finish is awesome. I've raced with fabulous and know he's a die hard ae fan but for him to change to a D413 speaks very highly at least to me. There must be something with the buggy that he seen to make him switch.

Exotek steering rack and spur gear, Avid bearings (my personal favorite but any quality bearings, the stock ones are crap) and Xray front hub carrier bushings. And HB aluminum shock caps. There's other stuff but it's mostly bling.

I can tell you what I ordered but all I could suggest from what I've read is that you would benefit from the aluminum shock caps. I will be posting more about what I find about the car in the next few weeks after I get mine up and running.

What is wrong with the stock steering rack?

Something to be aware of with the HB alum shock caps they mount the shocks much closer to the tower than the stock caps and put the shocks at an angle which can bind up. Especially if you use a setup with forward arm sweep. I used longer screws and a couple of spacers to get the shocks back to the stock offset or close to it.

Notice how much slop you have in your front wheels? Stock rack is the source of some of this. The Exotek rack will get rid of most of this. At the very least, you can replace the bushing in the stock rack with the Xray steering bushings. They're the same size but made to a much tighter tolerance

Exotek also makes bushings to fix the slop.

How much better is the exotek spur gear and will it spin true?

I've spent about an hour trying to get the stock spur gear to spin true with no luck.

The problem is you probably don't have the spur / diff cap on tight to the case. A lot of people are afraid to push it together really hard. Exotek one fits better as its aluminum and doesn't flex or bend. And if you overtighten one of the screws and bulge the plastic a little bit it will throw the spur off.
