No release date, but it looks pretty good.

The page has been up for a while. But the funny thing are the pictures show the proline body that Ty used at the worlds. I don't think that is the one that comes with the kit, unless things have changed. The body that comes with the kit should be the one shown in the link below. Notice the tiny black plugs as the HB body is a three piece design. It is also slightly more cab forward.

Just got off the phone with a guy from HPI Product Support. He said, "if you know when it's available please let me know." LOL!! HPI's own employees don't even know what's going on, this isn't a good sign!

What's up with all the useless negative speculation?! Torrence said they are in the process of being made, until he says otherwise I don't understand the negativity....

The negative speculation is due to the fact that this car has been talked about for at least a year, they are advertising it, and their own employees don't know when it will be available. Potential buyers are getting anxious to purchase what looks to be a fine racing machine but are getting frustrated by not knowing when they can buy it. WAAAAHHHHH, I want a new toy! NOW!!

We know HB is in a transitional phaze at the moment, apparently patience is a virtue few rc racers have lol, myself included. I am sure the car will be worth the wait, just like the d812....

I am fighting the urge to purchase a Durango.

Why is there HPI and Hot Bodies if they're essentially the same company? The name Hot Bodies just sounds wrong (if you know what I mean) so just drop it and stick with HPI.

Because they have 2 lines kind of like Chevy & Cadillac. Hpi is their basher/base line and HB is their race line and they don't want to tarnish their racing reputation with their lower quality hpi line I assume.

Product Support employees aren't going to be given the most up to date info. They are given access to just enough info to help customers, usually not much more. Not different than any other company, RC or not.

Hot Bodies was its own company a few years back and was bought by HPI. Kinda like Ofna and Jammin.

We did drop 'Hot Bodies' and we just go by HB now

Sit tight... it's coming.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll just keep my B44 till it comes out. Our track closes in March till September anyway.

Uh really? Lol

More patient than the folks who've been following this thread?
By this point some folks could be appointed the poster children of patience and most of all, brand loyalty.

My buddy was supposed to receive this thing for winning in Asia in 2012!!!
I too have been waiting for it as it is one of the top 3 wheelers on my radar and the only one I think that can perform consistently better than my 410v3, and here I am just like everyone else on here, a twiddlin' mah thumbs... Waiting!! Lol

Can you at least narrow down "it's coming" down to this millennium? We've been hearing and reading that it's a comin' for far to long to believe you mean anytime soon with such a purposely vague statement.

Hope you can understand.

I guess you failed to actually read my post. This car was supposed to be the D12, then the D413, and now it's no longer 2013 so it would t surprise me to hear it be officially named the D414.

It's been far longer than 6 months.
