Hope your vendors are better than the ones I deal with. Rarely do I encounter an initial production run sample that is anywhere near ready for mass consumption.

Heading over there this Wednesday, stoked to trade this 40F Cally weather we are having for some 70F TW love! Know of any good tracks in Taichung?
There are at least two dirt tracks (one small and one built for FEMCA/Asian Fever) in Taichung and one Astro. There is also a good dirt/carpet track in Taipei called A-Mu. Shoot me a PM and I will hook you up with my buddies over there.

It's not the vendor's fault. The screw up was internal within HPI.

As for tracks near Taichung, the one where we raced the FEMCA championship was not bad. At least for the big race they maintained it well. I don't know what condition it's in now. They don't tend to groom their tracks regularly like American tracks.

Here's a the link for the FEMCA race. Scroll to the bottom to get the track info.

Still I don't want to put out another estimated date of arrival because I don't want to look like a jackass again.
see thats all I wanted to know. Now I can go buy the Xray xb4 "14" instead of keet waiting and end up missing indoor season this year. Thanks for being honest as Im sure if it was up to you it would be out already.... I will buy one. just wont be this season

First, Mr. Deguzman, you don't look like a jackass. You excitedly reported what you thought would happen and it did not. No problem. Then you said you wanted to wait and let us know when you had more information. So it'll be after my race season is over. I'll just get one next October.

Huge respect for that comment also from me.
Deguzmen you said it well and you are not to blame .
I have been working in the manufacturing field for my many years and when you are dealing with over seas vendors and all the people that are involved there is bound to be a mistake.
I too will buy this car when it comes out . . . . .as stated before I loved the HB LSP truggy it was awesome drove the wheels off it!
Keep us posted to what is really going on and maybe this will get closer to 100 pages before the car even hits our shops and race tracks!
Thanks again for being honest with all of us

maybe a question thats impossible to answer at this point.. but do you guys think this buggy will be more durable than the 410v3?

im pretty new in racing and have a 410 already, pretty happy with it, but i think the d413 looks pretty beefy. the shock towers and a arms looks pretty solid.

what do you guys think?

With out a doubt this car is stronger then the Durango. Ty put his D413 thru the ringer at World's and came away un-harmed. The Durango's in the same race couldn't say the same thing...

Some folks are telling me that the shorty lipo these days are not optimal for a 1/10 4wd. Not quite up for the task. A 4wd can be driven hard and can be heavy for the lipo.

Where does the shorty stands against the saddle of equal capacity ?

A 5000mah 60c shorty should be no different than a 5000mah 60c saddle from the same company.

Maybe they were taking about 1/10 4x4 SCT because my B44 with a 6.5t motor does not stress my reedy pack at all. Comes off the track slightly warmer than ambient temps so even if the shorty was not of the same caliber you still have a long way to go before you are over working the pack.

Tessmann uses the Shorty setup all the time from what I have seen..

I use 4400mah shorty packs. Haven't seen anything above 4800mah myself though.
