Between the arms and the notchy diff's... I had it with that car ... I have been running AE on and off for over 20 years... This kit just pales in comparison to the fit finish of the hot bodies...diff's are awesome. I was leary about the shock caps , but I have always taken off the ballstud assy with the cap...

Put my D413 on the track today for the first time with the new schelle chassis, and i can't believe how much difference an extra 4mm in length made. The track was dusty and loose and this thing felt like it was on rails unbelievable. Night and day difference worth every cent.

That's good to hear. Did you run it with the stock spur then switch to the Exotek? I don't know that anyone said the noise is excessive, just louder than with the stock spur.

I recently installed my exotek spur, ran stock for awhile first. I've throttled it on the stand with the tires on, it's louder, not something to write home about but it's louder.

Most of the 1/10 run A 3mm shock shaft so any of thr ends should work, just check your overall length, i dont think losi will work since they are 3.5mm shafts

Rumor has it that HB is working on a new chassis for the d413. Due out after the worlds...or maybe later if it is backordered, lol

I think I bought the last shock plastics set from amain or tower one or the other a couple days ago. Hopefully my aluminum caps are going to put an end to breaking them. If not I'll be looking to use something from another manufacturer. $8 for that full plastics set just to get the two eyelets is ridiculous.

Have you heard anything about what they are changing? Still CF but longer or shaped differently?

Yeah, I did hear. I dont really want to say too much. If HB wanted to say they would have. It is probably still in development. I saw the posts about the schelle chassis and stuff and wanted to say that HB is still working on this car and improving it. I do wish their parts support was better.

1st impressions were very good.New platform on a new layout and I gotta be honest,by the 3rd lap the confidence was building steadily.I was looking mainly for durability but the buggy just handles very well.
Money well spent!! :-)

In a pinch I used Traxxas rod ends #1942
Spring perches are loose fitting but I never had one pop off.

Time for major maintenance So I just decided to start with new Avid Chassis setup and go from there. Still too bad that all of this fancy upgrade stuff doesn't make me any faster.

Start with new Avid Chassis and Exotek center diff spur combo.

Add rebuilt front and rear suspensions.

Add electronics and Exotek wing mounts.

Rebuild shocks and add wing.

I run without the servo saver. I just found a servo horn in my parts bin that seems to fit perfect, cheap ProTek.

Ready to race, now to find the driver's zone that I have never been in.
