Going to be getting this kit this summer and I'd like some tips when putting it together. Also is there a big difference betwen running saddle packs or a shorty pack.

I like aggressive steering but it was too much. Makes the car very twitchy.

Looking for some help... saw a couple posts a while back about the frt axles barely fitting in the drive cups.. I have the same issue. The left axle has popped out. I pulled front diff out to verify that tje diff was installed correctly for shorty set up(ring gear on right side) I can't find those posts to see if a fix was offered.

Anyone have a fix?

Got the answer. Frt and rear diff cups swapped. Late night rebuild issues.

I ran into this issue, I bought some Kyosho shafts put some long shock eyelets on there with either Kyosho or slash spring cups. Just be careful, if you don't space and limit the shaft right it will bottom out into the shock cap. I did it to get myself through the night but have since just left it that way.

There is one on ebay. Search by the part number. I think the length is listed wrong but it seems to be the right part. The seller is reputable and even comes to this forum, so ask them if you just want to be sure.

Generally thicker front diff oil will make the car turn less aggressively off power and have more steering on power. Thicker center diff will give more forward drive allowing less power to be unloaded to the front tires.

Overall it shoukd make the car fell a bit more stable in the more open sections, and less aggressive in the tight sections.

Read "JQ The Guide" section on differentials if you haven't. I think it does a nice job of explaining how the diff oils effect handling. The guide is written for 1/8 buggies but the D413 is 3 diff system set up like a smaller 1/8 scale. The same principles apply, but the oil weights ranges will be different for the smaller 1/10 diffs.
