Ball diffs last me 6+ months. My old RC10 has the first stealth tranny ever released and after not having run it for almost 17 years, I charged up a pack and plugged it up and that diff was just as smooth as it was all those years ago.

Also all that excessive break in is utter BS. You build it right and give it a few squeezes of throttle and it's good to go... Again, if you built it right.

I run a 7.5 on my 4.2 and a 6.5 on my 410 and I've never had to replace my out drives and I run on a ridiculously large 1/8 track and a rather large 1/10 track so I put them through their paces. Same goes for my T4.1.

I know ball diffs can work well and last a long time. It's not news to me.
I just prefer gear diffs because they are easier to build right. Once built I don't adjust them. Maybe once in a great while.

So there's your answer. Gear diffs are easier and that is why some people don't like ball diffs.

I've never run a gear diff in my car. I have to say that the idea of 3 gear diffs and never having to build a ball diff for the car is extremely attractive! As long as the oil is easy to change out, I'll be happy.

Should be fairly easy to change out. Just think of it as a small 8th scale..... but not....

originally we were shooting for november but after my recent visit to the factory i'm disappointed to announce that we're not gonna hit that target. some supplier issues are forcing delays. when i don't know, and i don't want to throw out another ETA until they're actually on the ship on the way over.

Any testing on different motors for this buggy. I would think with a center diff a 4 pole 540 would work well, My buddy has a 1/10th scale truggy with a center diff and runs a 4000kv 4 pole 540 and its nice.

Well, that's a huge bummer. The sooner the better because we're burning up my indoor season!!!

How's the durability with the TC style hingepin mounts and the ball joint shock mounts?
Are the mounts aluminum? I made it through the first ten pages but all the roar talk and weak protesting made me stab my eyes. So sorry if I'm repeating anything here. Just curious- very nice looking rig guys!
