When I was at the track last night another D413 was there and it was just as loud as my car. I bought a Losi pinion and no difference. I will see if I can find a Trinity pinion.

I'm starting to think the issue is with the spur gear.

Thanks

Don't you guys think that if you have shim the diff, change the pinion gear and done everything possible to the buggy, it might just be a bit louder than normal buggy, it does have all metal gears so if you are comparing it to another buggy it's not a good comparison since I think AE & Losi are plastic gears and belts, and besides as long as I'm in the podium positions the buggy could sound like a cow for all I care. Lol

Gear diff cars are much louder than ball diff cars... Ae car sounds similar and it has similar metal gear diffs. TLR car on the other hand is virtually silent. I own all 3 and the HB car is pretty darn good.

Yeah, seriously if the noise it the only issue your having with this car, then I think your doing pretty good compared to most others. You may quiet it down a little by doing this or that, but the nature of the drive train is gears (additional one) instead of belts, or slippers so its going to be louder.

I vote: "Who cares?"

Hey guys. I picked up a used D413 and I'm hoping to have it running this weekend. I'm just waiting on electronics so I can run back to back with my DEX410V4.

My question is...how many suspension arm mounts come in the kit and which ones? The only mounts I have are the ones on the car now.

You should get 1,2, and 3 dot arm mounts for each corner of the car.

Dirt, the reedy setup is very easy to drive. If your car is still majorly off, then it is probably our tires

I read a while back that guys were breaking off the tiny thread end of the hinge pins and it's happened to me on a front one. There was a little bit still sticking out of the nut, so I was able to remove it, which means it wasn't all the way tightened when it broke off. Just wondering, are you just ordering a new one or is there another fix? As much as I hate c-clips, I'd rather go that route. Is there a hinge pin or shock shaft from another car that will work? I'm just finishing the wiring and it's going to be a drag not to be able to try it out just because of this. LMK

I too had the nuts on both both the front hinge pins break off. I drove it like that and have not had the pins work their way out at all. I may put a dab of shoe goo inside the front rear hinge pin holder to help keep the pin from backing out...
