I bought off eBay a few meters of 3M carbon look vinyl tape and I'm glad I did.
Still got the one I put on my RB6 in July 2012.

It blends with a carbon chassis and look good on an aluminium one (you will have some mark but no scratches), clean well too. Very durable.

Just cut to length, glue it avoiding air bubble (hair dryer may come handy), then use the spatula they delivered with the tape. Cut the sides with a good cutter (Xactor works best). Done.

I did the screws holes too with a scalpel.

Those dont tent to hold up well on outdoor tracks with lots of rocks. IMO

The film we use on cars is pretty thick. Not sure the exact thickness though. But it peeled right off on our dirt track. The bottom of the chassis looks like it has fur now lol. Bits and pieces left. next time I'll try the jconcepts stuff
4s is just a little overkill! I know, but that's the way i pretend to be it!
And being a 3 diff car... is a buy chassis for me. The small pack baterys is a win win config to! In my mind i can see 2 small packs on each side. I never had that option for 1/10 buggy's.. they were all sadle packs... enough there is a company that makes 3s saddle packs, but 3s is to slow for what i want!

I have one 1/16 rc and one 1/14 rc scale's booth runing happy 4s

(has i said i do not race on tracks and do not do jumps with those, just street racing/speed runs)

Anyway, any idea of the price point of the chassis? Around 400euros?

Hot Bodies used to make a clear chassis protector for the ve8 I wonder if they will make one for this.

Honestly the carbon chassis is the only "durability issue" I'm worried about. Chassis tape or lexan protectors last not very long at all. Main problem is the back when its being grounded to a narrow taper and snaps.

Dex410's back end protector seems pretty good idea in protecting where it wears most

The back of the chassis under the rear diff is a plastic built in skid plate. I think the end of the carbon chassis is at about the front of the rear gearbox.

IS this an R/C tech record? 45 pages on a car not yet released. D4 is still the best 4WD until this is released though...

I'm sure it is not the record. I have read many of these threads and this is quite normal.

I believe the TLR 4wd Rumor thread was up to 100+ before Losi finally released the 22-4

It wont even be close to 469.
