What I do not understand is this lack of support on this buggy. I wanted this buggy when I first started reading about it a year ago and took a serious step back from RC while going through a divorce, and really was shocked to see that the situation still has not improved much on this buggy.
I've owned businesses and own and run one now and fully understand that things are ever as easy as they appear the the general consumer, but they knew about the shock cap issues for quite some time now and for a company like HPI making some shock caps should not be an issue. This is simple machining.
HB aside. Sometimes, companies leave room for others to make aftermarket parts. Kinda like they are letting the smaller companies get a slice of the pie. But here is what I really really really dont understand. Proline has been making caps for Ty for over a year, but wont release them to the public. WTF. They have all the design work dont, Ty won 2x nation champs with their shock caps, but still no caps. Maybe even HB thought that proline would make the caps and just left it to Proline to design and test them. I love proline bodies and tires, but this silly. Maybe Proline knows something we dont. Maybe they know HB is working on caps and just wants to leave it to HB.

I personal can live with the stock shock caps until they are released. If one start popping off to much I will just replace it with a new one. I haven't had that much problems with the stock caps. It takes a lot of crashing to knock them off.

I would say that you should be able to match the full extended and fully compressed. The d413 shocks are kinda tall. Longer than the B5 shocks for sure, because I tried that. The TLR shocks are longer than the AE shocks, so maybe those.

This particular buggy is a co-workers so I can't take much credit for the setup.
