As a reference it would be interesting to know what motor (5.5T?) and pinion gear Ty was using during the Worlds and Nats.

I was over in another thread wanting that car, but some folkes made it a real turnoff. Can not wait to see what reports people will have on this car. On top of my list at the moment!!!
Really interigued abaout a three diff setup.

Torrence, is there no needfor a slipperclutch? Or does the third diff make the front wheels spool up a bit so it is not needed? Sorry if question has been asked before.

It does not need a slipper. I found that with my HB VE8 (1/8 scale buggy) the 3 gear diffs made all the difference in the world. That is what makes me so excited about this car. Once you found the initial set up for your track you never worried about them again. They were bullet proof and not very often did you have to mess with them. You could spend your time tuning other stuff or just driving.

With my B44 the diffs are awesome after a very long break in and then for about 2 races. After that they start going down hill and you can tell as the consistency dwindles. You deal with that until you want to go through the rebuild process again.

Yup center diff is much nicer than a slipper set up. This will be the reason I get this buggy. I hate slippers and ball diffs lol

We had down to C-main today at my local club in 4wd open. Down to D-main with Stadium Truck as well. RC Racing is going strong up here in Bellingham, WA! I personally can't wait for the D413.

having 3 diffs eliminates the need for a slipper clutch. a slipper serves two purpose - one is to smooth out power delivery and the second is to protect the drivetrain from damage.

three diffs allows each wheel to turn independently of each other so this takes care of the drivetrain protection. having the option to change oils allows for tuning of power delivery.

Europe should get them at the same time as the USA.
