Hot Bodies D413 1/10 4WD Buggy

No Crap!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i was just getting ready to buy a 6.5 Tekin redline gen2 because
my 5.5 just gets too hot after 12 minutes of practice geared with a 19t pinion. it would
be fine for racing. So now I guess I should go up a tooth or two before I make the purchase,,hmmm,,??? goes against what is known but I'll try most anything once LOL!

Took a nice win at a regional race this past weekend with my D413. Battled with my longtime rival who has been running his ZX-6 for the past few weeks. He took the TQ but in each main I was able to keep the pressure on until he bobbled and take the lead. I have found that the harder I drive the car the better it responds...
Biggest setup tweak I did was messing with the rear inner ballstud height. I increased to 2mm shim (lowering the ballstud since it is upside down) and that really locked in the back end. I was suprised how much of a difference this made. Unfortunately the track I was on had a lot of tight turns where I needed the back end to swing around so I changed it back to my usual 1mm spacer. But if anyone else is having trouble with the back end being loose try to addng a spacer to lower the ballstud.

Some of you may remember seeing me post this photo when I completed my original build. I painted the original body that came in the kit my self with rattle cans. First picture.
The following 3 pics was painted by one of the better painters in my area. I asked him to make the paint scheme recognizable as my "signature paint scheme" but to also feel free to add a little style at his discretion. I thought what he came up with is pretty stinkin awesome !!! Be sure to check out the "voodoo" style accents in the blue paint

I ran the buggy for the first time yesterday with the box stock setup from the manual with the exception of diff fluid which was 10-100-3 and I have to say that the buggy was pretty damn good. I was able to tq over 2nd by about 10 seconds and took home the win by about the same. I love this buggy!! It has so much potential it's scary.

I forgot to ask. I run on a medium size, medium grip outdoor track with small to medium size jumps and wanted to know what kind of shock package some of you are running. Piston, fluid and spring. Thanks.
