I know my question doesn't pertain to the car. But I can't find the correct thread. And since im building the d413 i figured id ask. So here goes.... Just got a trinity d4 6.5 and I'm trying to figure out where I should set the timing? I'm running on a small tight track small straights, lots of jumps, lots of traction. I've got a 20t pinion on it now. Any suggestions or links would be appreciated I'm coming from a nitro background so all this electric stuff is pretty new to me.
Thanks
Chris

i would go 21 or 22T pinion, as the 20 may not mesh tight enough

If any of you are interested in getting rid of your D413 let me know. Interested in a roller or rtr depending on electronics. I can buy outright or have a 5 race old Losi 8ight E 3.0 with Gen 2 RX8, Savox 1267 servo and Tekin t8i 1900 motor that I would trade.

6.5 needs zero timing on small tracks, heck even on larger ones, you should have plenty of power, some report lower temps with a little timing (5-10 degrees)....timing adds rpm but sacrifices a bit of torque, on small tracks you want punch/torque...if you feel you need more speed, add turbo in the esc, it should only come on when your at 90%+ throttle and add a delay, something like 0.2S...this way you run zero timing through the infield, but on straight turbo kicks in giving you higher top end
i would go 21 or 22T pinion, as the 20 may not mesh tight enough
