I think the folks that are running 3 hole pistons are using the HB ones. I think one person drilled the blanks. Another put in a small screw. And I cut down a tooth pick and glued it in (recommendation from Torrance). Since the kit included 4 x 1.3s you can just block one of the holes. I thought that I would give it a try as I had already used my blank pistons.

Have any of the guys with gear issues considered having some made through a place such as http://www.rushgears.com/ ? They have a variety of materials and can make the gear to whatever dimensions. I'm thinking of using them for a project I'm working on.

Mr Deguzman, do you know any info about the next couple shipments of D413 kits and/or spare parts scheduled for the U.S. ?

How are they working for you vs. the old shocks? What mods did you need to do to get them to fit.

I drilled blanks that came with the kit. I tried 3x1.4 and it was a bit more nervous with the same shock oil I am running with the 3x1.3 (37.5/30 Losi). If you go 1.4 I would go 40/32.5 Losi.

Are the pistons the same size as the standard associated sizes?

What is the difference between the 3 hole vs. the 4 hole. I just can't seem to get the shocks working right. I've tried two hole and 4hole setups and varying weights. Not found it yet.

I run on a bumpy track with some larger jumps. Clay/dirt mix medium to high grip depending on water in the track.

I run at Clubhouse. 3x1.4 work great in my 2wd mod mid. With the pistons provided and the 1.6 I drilled with the d413 are just not dialed and various types of pistons setups so far aren't working well in the HB.

Lots of slap and the many bumps make the car handle worse then it should.

This is 2 x 1.6 with 37/30!

Unfortunately you're going to have to compromise somewhere. When the track is bumpy you want to avoid pack.....which is what you need when the car chassis slaps off of a jump.

Have you tried something like stock pistons with REALLY heavy oil? It should give the car heavier static damping but won't pack up as aggressively!

WC....if he's having problems chassis slapping with 2 x1.6

a 1.7 with 32 in the rear isnt gonna be heavy enough....

My car is 30 with a 1.6 and still feels like it could stand to be a bit heaver like 35

I do agree with your spring choices though

Jason, don't own one, but helping tune a team mates..

Yes , 1.7 won't help um stop slapping , nor will 1.6 or even 1.5..

He's going to have to improved his driving , not to over jump the landings & down hill all the jumps.

Tuning for landings for reduce slapping only makes for poor performance on the rest of the track.
