PetRock, I've had a couple of those X-car 120 esc's. I used them with the Trackstar 17.5 while racing spec class 2wd SCT back when I first got into R/C. I was impressed with how well they operated. Especially for the price ! I discovered the X-car 120 uses the exact same programming flash/beeb set up as the HPI Flux Reload esc. You may be able to look up programming adjustments for the HPI Flux Reload esc on their web site.

If anyone is curious of what the manufacturer's claimed kv rating is for the motor you may be running, it might be easily found on the 1st post of this thread I started.

Turn to Kv conversion 540 2 pole motors / several brands

Ran my buggy at practice this week. Running hobbywing v3.1 with hobby wing v10 6.5t. 24 pinion. No fans on esc or motor. Motor never got above 110 esc got too 125. No timing or boost yet. Indoor track medium bite. Running the ocrc setup. I changed to orange AE front springs and yellow rears. Tried the purple fronts too. The car handles amazing. Jump smooth and straight. Wanna try some two hole pistons. Great design deguzman. Will definitely try your 2wd. I loved my dex410 but this car blows it away. I was beating my dingo times after a couple packs.

Thanks but i just got to thinking. The d413 uses a lock nut instead of c-clips the pistons won't work because of that will they ? i guess unless some sort of washer was used ?

Thumbs up

The sample setup sheets list Kyosho X-Gear springs: is there a mapping from X-Gear colours to the HB spring rates listed on the first page? (Specifically X-Gear yellow fronts and white backs). If there's no X-Gear->HB mapping I'll just buy one set firmer than stock.

I like that the HB springs are rated in g/mm: I wish other manufacturers did that!

EDIT: Oops: found an answer to my question here.

Did more testing today at an Outdoor Track. What a Hot day

Time to do changes & get ready for the Day.

Here is the track. Very broken with High & Low Bite due to Dirt Oval.

My Sexy D413

My setup after today. The Base setup was good, but this is way better for high bite. on some section of the track, it needed Orange compound, but, I just ran out of tire to test for the day

I always go into "thread tools" and subscribe to a thread that I plan on watching. I'm too lazy to scroll & search.

I love this car! I have owned every wheeler (except the Team C) currently on the market and the D413 is hands down my favorite. As for comparing it to the Sworkz; it is on par durability wise and light years ahead of it as far as handling/setup is concerned. The Sworkz can me made to work well, but it takes a lot of screwing around to get there. Oh and I just cannot get past the Sworkz body. I will take the D413s 4 piece body over that train wreck any day.
