Torrence what is your take in using such low diff fluid in the middle. I haven't seen a setup sheet with under 20k in the middle. Have u tested lower 5k 10k in the middle?

my take is run whatever makes you go fast on the track you're running on. if you're racing on a frozen lake with slick tires then feel free to put baby oil in the diffs. if you're drag racing for pink slips go ahead and try 1,000,000.

I've tested as low as 5k in the middle but for the tracks I've run on 5k was too light to get the rip to clear big jumps.

the car is still very new. the setups are still evolving. don't limit yourself to the range of oils that has been mentioned so far.

I keep checking this thread in the hopes that someone will say that their kit has been sent from somewhere in the US.

If Tower really had the kits last week, I don't know why they aren't being sent out yet. They are usually pretty quick at getting orders out, I don't know why this would be any different.

Ok, I'm just anxious. I'll try to be patient. But at least we are now officially in the late part of April.

I feel your pain man, I finished my 22T build last night. I even started wrenching on my basher just to scratch the RC itch the D413 has given me...

Just looking around at the different options for battery packs at the moment...

I clearly know and understand that it will fit a shorty, or a saddle...

But could you maybe tell us what the measurement is from the chassis to the topdeck is.

I've got some packs(that aren't roar approved.) That I'm curious to see if they are going to fit.

They measure 69x46x31!!! They're thick little bricks.... 5700mAh (2s3p)

By the looks of the pics it's going to be close. But I think the issue with fitting them in there is going to be the front mount of the rear triangulated tower brace....

Thanks again.
33mm between chassis and upper deck.
Ty is running 4000mAh. I am going to run a nano-tech 4200mAh.

Good question.. It does 6 minutes A-Mains plus warm up in my MM TLR 22 2.0 no problem. 4wd Buggy certainly will suck a little more juice

I took a moment to translate the build instructions into a setup sheet for easy comparison. Let me know if I missed something.

it should do, but I don't think it's good for the battery though.

a few "facts":
1. I found after a 5 mins main, with 0.5-1 min practice, the battery usage (in mah) is about the same as the weight of the car (in grams). Which for me is about 1750mah.
2. it's better to keep lipo above 40% capacity, to make it live long (and prosper).

so, the optimal race time for the battery is: (assuming the car is about 1750g rtr)
4600mah * 60% / (1750mah / 5.5mins) ~= 8.7mins
perfect for 8 minutes main.

and for 11 minutes, it may use about:
(1750mah * 5.5mins) * 11mins = 3500mah.
So the battery should last your 10mins main, but with 76% usage, not that good for battery life.

good battery for these 10 mins race would likely to be:
3500mah / 60% ~= 5800mah
wait, it's saddle's capacity range, about 60g heavier than shorty, so 3620mah / 60% ~= 6000mah.

*it varies, total traction level, track configuration, and driving style all matters. High grip + track with a lot of hair pin w/ hard acceleration + punch everywhere and let it wheel spin driving style can take more battery than expected.

SOR - Stuck On Racing sells a nice sheet that will easily do 2 chassis for a good price. I forget how much it is at the moment but here's their site: http://www.stuckonracinggraphics.com/rc-graphics/

This is a custom made spring list based on what is available on petit. Ex: AE springs are not listed.
