The gen 1 t8 motors were 1.5y 1900kv and the 2050 was 2.5delta all being fine with that generation of 4030 buggy motors

What are the winding configurations of the new gen2 4030 buggy motors
And truggy 4038 motors!!!

I have noticed on tower hobbies, they state under their combo options that the gen2 t8 4030 buggy motors are all 2y wound that's for all the kv ranges in the 4030 series is this correct!!!

No info on the 4038 truggy motors !!!

What benefits do they have over the outgoing gen1 versions

I see they are lighter and slightly smaller in lengh can size I presume!!

Now Iam wondering if 2y is correct then the 1900 kv and 2050 kv 4030 gen2 t8 motors must have the same performance down low torque produced ect only the 2050kv will pull away with a little more rpm top end but does it have the torque to get there Iam wondering!!

In old gen 1 1.5 y 1900kv had more torque down low then the 2050kv 2.5delta were this had more torque thus more rpm up at the top end of the rpm scale !!!

Seems the old gen1 motors had more choice depending on what track size you were racing on

Why does tekin explain windings for its new t8i motors and no info on windings for 4030 and. 4038 t8 gen2 motors seems odd and makes selecting a motor harder and more confusing

Please tekin provide some clear info and update your website in regards to motor selection and winding configurations this info will help all racers and bashers out there

The winds on the Gen2 motors are the same as Gen1's. If you want to buy a new motor you dont have the option to buy a Gen1, so take that into account when you make the purchase. Used doesn't come with a warranty or the all black case, but if you don't really care I doubt there is a noticeable power difference between the two generations and recommend the Gen1. There will however be a difference in the way that power is displaced through the RPM's, the cooling properties, and the other benefits of buying a "new" motor.

The windings description is on the Tekin website...my internet is messed up so I cant search right now, but I assure you it is there.

i picked up a rc8be roller in a trade and i got a 1900 gen 2 motor. i'm going to pair this motor with a orion esc. and i can't wait to run it as this is my first foray into 1/8 scale. i've ran 1/10 scale for many years and i'm ready to get my feet wet in a new class.

You're beating a dead horse here. We've told you on multiple occasions that this info will not be posted up for the Gen2 line. Too many people were more confused than it helped.

Pick your KV, pick your appropriate motor for Buggy or Truggy, enjoy.

The T8's can withstand more heat then the 1/10 motors but run best at 180 or less after 10 plus minute runs.

Hey I just picked up a used ve8. Now I know the deal on the ve8 thread for I read the whole thing. I'm looking to get a 2050 buggy set up. Two question does this esc come with the all white wires that I seen your pics. second is the shaft shorter on the new version. then the gen1.i have seen you and nv529 on the posting allot. so you know the stock chassie well. If this is smaller I will buy a new Gen 2 if not I have found a great deal on a older motor to pick up. Thanks for the help. Rob

I know this is a little late, but better then never right!?
The motors come with a sensor cable, no motor wires. White wire can be purchased in 3 foot lengths. The motor shaft is the same length as the Gen 1's are. I ran the prototype HHH motor mount that moved the motor back a few mm's from battery tray so it wasn't an issue. With stock mount I just placed a spacer in the battery tray to push lipo back away from motor Never cut the shaft..
