Default VICIOUS TEKNOLOGY 4S LIPO

I'VE RECENTLY MADE MY FIRST LIPO BATTERY PURCHASE. IT WAS DAUNTING WITH SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM AND SO MANY PRICE RANGES. IM NOT A RACER AT LEAST YET. FOR NOW IM A BASHER NEW TO WORLD OF ELECTRIC.
I WENT WITH A VICIOUS TEKNOLOGY 4S 6400MAH 60C LIPO. REALLY NICELY MADE PACK. I HAVENT GOTTEN A CHANCE TO RUN IT YET BECAUSE, I WAS READING THE INSTRUCTIONS TO MY VENOM PRO CHARGER PLUS AND IT WAS STATING THAT IT SHOULD BE CYCLED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE GIVING IT THE BEAT DOWN.
I REALLY WANT TO GET THE MOST OF MY PACKS AND FUTURE PACKS I PURCHASE SO, I STARTED TO DO CHARGE/DISCHARGE CYCLES. IVE NOTICED AFTER THE FIRST TIME IT HAD FINISHED WITH 6589MAH AND AFTER THE SECOND TIME IT FINISHED WITH 7581MAH. I GUESS ITS A GOOD THING?
HAS ANYONE SEEN THE NEED TO CYCLING A NEW LIPO BEFORE USING IT AT FULL STEAM? IS IT REALLY NECESSARY? IF SO HOW MANY CYCLES SHOULD I PUT THROUGH? ONLY THING I COULD SAYIS THE CHARGER ONLY DISCHARGES AT 5AMPS AND MAN IT TAKES FOR EVER. CANT WAIT TO TRY IT THOUGH

Cycling really isnt necessary for Lipos. Just giving them some easy runs and stopping after a few min seems to work best for me. But pulling 1100Mah more than capacity concerns me a little bit. You didnt discharge the pack to zero volts did you?

No not all 12v on 4s. That was preprogrammed setting in the charger for that battery.

Ok good. Probably was that high due to such a low and stable rate.

Yeah real slow discharge. Nearly 3 hours and balance charged each time. I'm gonna give it shot tomorrow. I'm itching

Since its the first time youll be pulling some bigger amps from it, run it for about 5 min and turn it off. Unplug the battery and let it sit for about 5min. Charge it and run it for about ten this next time. Unplug and let it sit for 5 again. Do this about 3 more times and then youre good to give her hell. Youre basically breaking the cells in.

Personally cant speak highly enough for the viciousTek batteries, and most certainly the support. I have purchased a total of 4 of his packs in the past couple of months for my basher Savage Flux HP, and 1 was acting funky and wouldn't take a charge. Received my replacement yesterday, within a week of sending mine back, no hassles whatsoever. I have 4 shorties for my racing stable, and they are getting my business going forward when its time to change them.

@mushratt - you will love the batteries.

Yea i just run them like normal with new lipos usually during practice all do it. Just try to not run them to low when new.

Never tried these lipos out though they look nice.

very nice battery at a great price. Ran it in my ebuggy for several races and couldn't be happier with it.
