One of my best memories of Bill is as a young racer long ago, so eager to learn and improve. Bill would run both stock and mod buggy in a way I don’t recall seeing before or since. He only had one car, but two transmissions. Instead of changing motors like some did, Bill would just change the transmissions with motors attached. That way he kept the slipper settings, diff setting, spur gearing, gear mesh, etc. A clever and surprisingly quick solution.

The next benefit race won’t be the same, but I’ll be there doing what little I can to help the family, especially Bill’s way too young son.

Cancer sucks.

Very big loss to the RC racing community.

As one of the organizers of the Michigan State Championship Series, we were very honored to have him part of our organization as well as having him on the drivers stand one last time at round #3 at THE Track in Carleton, MI just last week.

If I am not mistaking, the Bill Bridges Memorial Race will be held at THE Track in Carleton, MI on August 17th. All proceeds will be going to Bill's family.

RIP Bill. You will be missed by many!

Funeral is Friday June 28. A sad day indeed. Paul and I will be there with heads bowed.
