Just a quick question, have run mine already and it is super smooth and no noises heard, have seen the 2 x holes on the slipper assy cap but the spur/slipper assy does not move up and down when fitted and secured so im not sure why you would want to put the grubscrews in the top, it does however have front to back movement which may contribute to the dog bone popping out but i havent experienced that issue either and hope i dont.

With my old ZX5 i used to have these set screws on the slipper and it worked, however my ZX6 doesn't have that play. Only lenghtwise ist's moving a bit but as said this can be shimmed out easily.
Another question: are the gears on the Gear diff made of steel or plastic? Cannot find any good pics of that...

Its some kind of metal, but not machined cut steel.

I can see using the grubscrews if slop develops where the bearing rides, but for now there is no vertical slop in mine, just the forward/back that was remedied with a shim.

Will a standard servo horn work on this buggy? I'm gonna use a Spektrum S6040 with a straight tekno horn.

Only part that's broke on mine is a front arm. It was my fault that it broke but been solid otherwise

that is to keep the entire assembly from moving, not just up and down, but side to side as well.

Guess its really up to the individual but i only have front to back movement during the build which i didn't shim just built as per the instructions, may or may not shim it later but can't really see how a single grub screw placed on the top of a round object (the bearing) would stop side to side movement unless you apply a lge amount of force, it would require a grubscrew on the side to set the side ways movement and also where the bearing sits is shaped to hold the bearing so even the grubscrew on the top may have a small effect on this due to the shape of the bearing slot, if you have sideways movement maybe look at replacing the item that is causing the slop. Just my thoughts anyway.

As far as i know it is only 1 diff, quite expensive but i think with all of Kyosho, worth the money.
