Guess I'll remove some more ballast and maybe add some functional weight in the way of a cooling fan for the motor.
Those geniuses at ROAR. 17.5 min weight is ok, for mod it should be max weight hehe. Those things are dangerous to marshals.

heard a few things about this front shaft popping out, but it seems to be isolated to the state of Victoria, Australia ??

no reports from Japan or US of an issue.

Should finish the build today, have not painted the body yet but I think the old one will fit.

Victorians lol I sore 3 zx6's run well at the ACT states but.

I've got a 12th scale together for a run at the carpet track, and I've been running the rb6 on carpet which is awesome you should come for a run.

My front shaft popped out but it was my fault. I figured I didn't need the plastic insert that goes into the center slipper (keeps the shaft from sliding back and out of the front diff drive) and just put in one of the foam inserts. I was obviously wrong.

For those of you losing your front driveshaft, have you checked your front foam insert? I have not yet lost a front driveshaft but I have run the car 3 times and all 3 times the front foam insert has gotten eaten away to nothing. I feel that this could be a design flaw. Next time I run the car I am going to try a shock o-ring in place of the foam. There has got to be a better solution. I like the way the car drives, but this is driving me nuts.

Well the foam was reduced to a flat ring and the plastic piece was pushed in. Replaced the foam with an o-ring.

Not sure what the ZX6 outdrives are like, but you might be able to also use fuel tubing of the correct diameter - just slice off your own segments - kind of like o-rings. They provide cushioning, and are cheap, you can make the exact thickness you need, and seem to hold up well. I do this with my ZX5 to space the main driveshaft correctly for the Durango diffs. My notes say the outer diam of the fuel tubing is approx 6mm. I'm pretty sure that is 'medium' size with 3/32 inner diam.

So I had those also and the ballstuds broke within 5 minutes, no wrecks and they weren't too tight lol. Might have to buy some stronger studs -_-x
