Front motor is smoother and a higher bite surface option. Thats my opinion based on experience, not fact. I personally prefer front motor as its a little calmer and I didn't like how the car wanted to wheelie when I grabbed a handful of throttle .
My car is 47%/53% weight bias with Front motor.

Yes I run the VVC blades all the time. Very smooth, zero wear. Just keep an eye on the blades and replace if look worn.
