+1 yeah xray shocks sucks i race in dirt after 2 race the shocks oil is dark even i put the o-ring in oil 30 mins before i build the shocks still same. Bent said when using different brand piston that will happened no i am running xray piston. I thought i am only the one complaining xray shocks but everyone. Glad i sold my xb2 and xb4 '15 but i will get another shoot for xb4 '17 if come out.

No - the 2nd was just more recent. 1st rocked too Sorry - I must derail this thread. The grooved xrings work on the xray? I may reconsider selling mine if they make a marked improvement. Used to love that buggy until I bought a rb6.6. The fact that the 6.6 laydown is that much better than the xb2 (incl 3 gear laydown already installed) is giving me pause, and I am asking questions about the zx6. I may swap out my xb4 hence the questions here...

but did you try avid pistons and kyosho x-rings? like i said after that they're right up there with TLR IMO.

Kyosho is the best i agree - but does it really translate on the track? not really. feels better when you build them and you change oil less is about it.

I just saw on tower hobbies they have early December on the 6.6 any other clue as to when hobby shops in Canada or the US will have them in? My shop said end of November.

I was able to order the complete center dif (same parts listed above) from Japan directly and the kit was listed on the site as well. If I didn't have a preorder already I'd have bought it. The RB6.6 showed in the US about 2 weeks after it did in Japan so I would think we'll see it within the month.

What's new with the 6.6 that would make a marked improvement? I know the rb6.6 had a 3 gear Laydown but what is changed on this buggy? Thx

Mainly the inclusion of the HD chassis as standard and the center dif.
Smaller but no less important would be an actual fit for the 713b arm sway bar attachment and arms as standard to the car.

You'll need the parts listed above to fit it to an existing ZX6 regardless of chassis.

I feel kinda silly asking this. But i only run 8 scale and this is my first 10 scale 4wd buggy. What size pitch is the spur gear?I want a couple pinions before my kit gets here but just not sure. Also what size tires fit the front and rear? I see 2.2 and 2.4 or some tires have different hex sizes.
This is definitely not simple like 8 scale.
The front tires are smaller then the rear , but not as small as 2wd front buggie tires right?

48 pitch is what you want. 2.2 12mm hex wheels. The fronts are the same hex but wider than 2wd fronts but thinner than rears. Not all that complex once you know.

I'm planning to give the gear difs a shot. What's good front and rear on medium bite clay?
