It'll float just a tick, if you really want to, you can shim the lower sway bar mount in the arm tighter a couple ways.

It's super easy to do and it saves the cost of a whole sway bar kit you'll likely not need, u less you want it for the 2wd. If I remember correctly the RB6 sway bars are just a bit narrower than the ZX5/6 ones.

In the pic, I used a couple RB6 shock mounts trimmed and keyed to the arm to keep the lower mount from floating some, but it's not crucial to do.
thanks dude. is their any benefit in the HD chassis conversion set?

Several:
  • Motor can be mounted farther forward
  • Battery can be mounted farther forward
  • Chassis is stiffer
  • Holes for LAW56 floating servo mount
  • Ready for the forth-coming center diff (may work in the old chassis however)

You're welcome,
Figured if ya could save some coin on the sway bar setup for the rb6 arms, y could spend more on other stuff. Lol.

As posted above,
Yes there are some benefits to the HD chassis,
I don't have one yet, but know a few racers that do have it on their car already,
Mainly a slightly longer overall wheel base is now doable, the ability to move the center slipper/motor forward and changing the weight bias, stiffer/less flex, and most notably for the yet to be released center diff option. Which I suspect is one of the main things it was designed for.

Sadly the center diff won't fit on the old chassis as the motor mount and slipper mount are too close, but if you took the time to drill the new holes in the chassis. You could, probably get it to work.

Here's the thing - in looking at the pics of the cars from Yatabe (who were all using the center diff) they are all using the same holes in the chassis for the motor mount/center bearing plate as I am using for my slipper.

I can't see how the center diff would be the same size as a slipper but the pics are pretty clear...

The hd chassis is not longer then the stock chassis.

If that were the case,
Kyosho would have the smallest center gear diff on the planet,
To the point onroad TC guys would be envious, and I wouldn't bet on that.

But hey, once the parts are out, then I guess the world will know for sure.

I'm not arguing. I'm just saying that in the Worlds pics they are using the same footprint our slippers do. Now maybe they didn't have the center diffs in for the photos...

Have to agree with this comment, one of the benefits of the he chassis is the ability to spread the area to accommodate the center gear diff. Tebo ran the gear diff at the jc Nats and u can't get a pic anywhere.

An employee at Kyosho America told me they were very proud to design the center diff to fit in the same spot as the slipper. He was also rather irritated he didn't have these parts to sell.

It's all good,
I know I've seen some setup sheets that do say a center diff was used, but as of yet, I don't think there have been pics out yet either, of course if they did figure out a way to stuff a center diff in the same spot as the slipper would normally be, which is entirely possible, then a pic or two may already be out and most not know it. Lol.

Hopefully the parts get released sooner than later, if for nothing else to have yet another tuning option.

for you guys that used the UM713B rear arms, are you guys using a set screw in the rear hub to keep the shaft from moving around? If anyone has a setup using these arms, I would appreciate a PIC if possible.

I use the Ultima outer hinge pin/nuts. In my opinion the ZX6 hinge pins aren't long enough (27mm vs the RB6 39mm).

The law54, which I converted my car to, allows you to move the motor and battery forward 8mm. It is also heavier and stiffer than the original chassis.
The LAW54b is the chassis which in edition to all that also allows you to use the floating servo mount. I believe they will discontinue the law54 and just offer the law54b.
