Hot Bodies Ve8 Thread
I can't see a thread dedicated to the Ve8 so I thought i'd start my own.
I currently run a Vorza which seems a bit heavy compared to some 1/8 ebuggies, so this morning I purchased this to do the conversion:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/290927080627...84.m1439.l2649
I also ordered a JConcepts shell and the Ve8 50t spur which I believe has a different offset to the stock 48t Vorza spur gears.
Front and rear suspension I think is the same, as are the centre driveshafts and transmission (or at least the centre shafts are the same length).
If anyone reading this runs a Ve8, can you tell me:
1) Do I need anything else to do the conversion?
2) Is it worth running the long rear shocks/high mount tower (I find it improves the Vorza on bumpy tracks)?
3) How do setups compare between the two cars?
4) Is it a good idea to get the hop-up one-piece motor mount?
Thanks guys, look forward to hearing from you

I don't run one but I've thought about buying one so I've been in that thread a bit. Can't answer any of your questions, sorry.

The 50T spur does have a different offset.
I don't know all that much about the Vorza, but I can definitely say that the 112mm shock tower is a big improvement. It's helps a lot on big jumps and rough sections. I would highly recommend the one-piece mount over the stock one. Grid RC makes a good mount too, but you can only go up to 22T with it.
