Exclamation ESC and External BEC Install Question…

I have a new Hobbywing 90A EXRun ESC (Sensored). It came with a set of capacitors in the box. Normally I would solder these to the battery leads on the ESC but I’m also installing an external BEC.

So, do I still need to install the capacitors if the BEC is powering the Receiver instead of the ESC?

Yes, still needed. They are 'power caps' for the ESC switching noise from driving the motor. Not a 'glitch buster' cap for helping the BEC-radio-servo power.
